  1. they are the second best team in Kenton County
  2. I am a huge fan of small schools having came from one; so I am a huge Brent Bach fan as I was a Cory Pelle fan. However, in watching Montgomery County several times last year and at State Tourney, Bryan Wallace is best all around player between the 2. His pressure defense on opposing guards ( vs. Brossart in Regional Semifinal and in State tourney) is very, very good. However, Alex Trentman has biggest impact in blocking shots, steals, rebounding (offensive/defensive) and the ability to knock down open 3's makes him best player in region with Wallace on his heels.
  3. I respect you Big Fundamental but I promise you, at end of January you will owe Mr. Schneider an apology.
  4. He didn't play because they had a PG who was a 3 year starter. This kid played really, really well at NKU's team camp and from what I heard dominated the team camp at East Central. I am very confident in stating him in my top 10. Scott is a PG program. Obviously, you know very little about the program. He WILL have a better year than Dre Jackson and much more of an impact than Matt Wilson. Let me give you some info. In scouting the big 3 in that district (Brossart, Camels, Eagles) in big games for the Camels it was McGovney and Holbrook show. Against average competition both Jackson and Wilson played well. In both Brossart and Scott games for the Camels neither was a threat to score and liability on Defense.
  5. Top 5 Coaches: Brad Carr Scott Humphrey Mike Code Montgomery's new Coach Jason Hinson
  6. Top 10 Teams when Districts Roll around: 1. Montgomery County 2. Brossart 3. Scott 4. Augusta 5. Campbell Co. 6. Mason Co. 7. Clark Co. 8. Harrison Co.
  7. Best players: 1. Alex Trentman 2. Bryan Wallace 3. Brent Bach 4. Darius Jones 5. Snoop Johnson 6. Cory Holbrook 7. Shawn Johnson 8. Blake Schneider 9. Drew Burns 10. Jeremy Jackson
  8. Getting back to Justice, any word on his recruitment?
  9. I am a fan of his, just don't think he is Top 5. He was playing hard because some current college players from Georgetown and other D3/NAIA Ohio Schools. Athletic and good finisher.
  10. Walter, my friend. McCormick is very good but would not of been a Top 5 player in KY. I coached against him when I was at Glen Este and when he was at Wilmington. I played against him this past week at a YMCA in Clermont Co. He spoke that best offer was coming from MAC schools. He mentioned that his preference was Butler because Tennessee wanted him to Redshirt without any discussion.
  11. Scott was impressive at NKU team camp and just walked through their 7 opponents @East Central. Closest game was at 9am this morning and it was 8 and should of been 15.
  12. As far as a prediction, I believe that"in order to be the man, you have to beat the man" per Mr. Ric Flair. Scott has been to the Regional Tourney and semifinals every year that Coach Carr has been at Scott and Brossart dominated the district last year and return the best overall player in Trentman. So my in depth prediction is for the district tourney is: #4 Silver Grove defeats #5 Calvary and then #1 seed Scott defeats #4 Silver Grove to advance to the Championship to play #3 Campbell Co. as they upset #2 Brossart. Either way its my opinion and I believe that both the Champion and Runner up will advance to the Semi's of the Region. I also predict that a team from the 37th will be in the Regional Championship again.
  13. I watched them play about 12 times last year and I am not a Campbell Co. resident or alum. Here is the Camels breakdown for the upcoming season: Holbrook will average 18-20 and must improve his defense and control his actions and demeanor on the court. In the Brossart game and Scott game he seemed to lose his cool and not play his game. Jackson is the X-factor in regards to take the next step as a major contributor. He is long and athletic. He is VERY streaky as a shooter. He also lost his cool in the Scott game and the Augusta game. He is very good in transition and has potential to be a lock-down defender. Wilson is solid. He has good hands and his footwork seemed to improve through out the season. However, in big games he disappeared and deferred to others. Considering there is a ton of size in the 10th this season he has to impose his will. McGovney needs to improve his left hand. He is all right on the bounce. He has all the qualities to be a solid PG this year and a big time scorer when Holbrook graduates. The determining factor for the Camels are the role players. In games that the Camels struggled, their bench was non-existent. If they can get some scoring from their bench then they will be a tough out.
  14. I was totally kidding about the FB position. A kid everyone leaves off is the RB from Bellevue. That kid, Dylan Huff (I believe) will have atleast 1800 yards and lead his team in tackles and interceptions.
  15. Okay so the best 11 players in NKY and probably the state reside in Independence. Imagine if all those kids didn't leave to go to Beechwood they would rival Trinity. Based on these responses, Marksberry and Herbst better win a State Title or it would be the biggest let down since the 17-0 Patriots finishing second to an average NY Giants team!
  16. The guard play will determine their season. Trentman is a top 3 player in the Region/NKY. The big kid (Crim) from Scott and from Mason can handle Burns, who is a throwback player. The sophomore to be at MoCo will hold his own as well and the Wilson kid might be able to hold his own as well. Defensively, they are so tough. For them to score 60, Burns and Trentman will have to score 45. Their JV team was not very good this season and the freshmen group was very average at best. However, Code and Bundy are two very good coaches.
  17. I got off topic: Best 2 players at each position and not a team because I dont think Bolden and Ruthsatz could play well with each other (both have to dominate the ball) 1st Team: PG- Bolden SG- Hatton SF- Hemmerich PF-Trentman (best stretch 4 in NKY 9th or 10 Region!) C- McDonald (he is not a 4) 2nd Team: PG- Ruthsatz G- Bach (Augusta) if Augusta is out then Jeremy Jackson from Scott G- Holbrook (20 pt scorer and tough as nails) PF- Schuh/Schulte C- Chames (best pure shot blocker) Honorable Mention: Burns-Brossart, Crim-Scott, McClendon-Holmes, and Pangallo
  18. My opinion is based on Press/trap on D and drive and kick on O! PG-Bolden G- Ruthsatz G-Hatton F-Trentman F-McDonald Bench:6-10 in any order; Pangallo, Schulte, Schuh, Hemmerich, and Holbrook
  19. all i am saying is this is what was said and heard several times
  20. Listen Heroes/Keyboard Tough Guys, I NEVER ask things like this and could really care less. It was being discussed at Rupp by Coaches in the 16th Region as well as if MoCo was going to be placed in the 16th region with NCC and/or Highlands moving into 10th.
  21. special education job is news only because Blevins and Snapp are special education teachers
  22. Not trying to start anything, i promise i am not, but isn't he transferring to Montgomery Co.? That was a lot of talk at Sweet 16.
  23. will be a very tough out! Bach is a tremendous scorer and other players are great playing off him. They all know their roles. Biggest need is to quickly find a replacement for Kelsch. He was their leader and best rebounder. Also, a SUPER Great kid! Will miss watching him play.
