  1. Very sad day to the majority of Scott H.S., Taylor Mill, & NKY. It is sad that a group of people who disagreed with Playing time took the initiative to cost a great coach his job. The only people who win from this is the people of Campbell Co. H.S.. Brossart, and the other 10th Region teams who dreaded drawing Coach Carr's Eagles in the postseason. What example is set to the student-athletes? Meaning: how about earning something and not feeling entitled that people owe you something. The athletes have learned that it if you cry and complain enough that outweighs just working hard and earning it. Coach Carr has done more with that program that any, ANY coach could do. Yes, were there some very talented teams, for sure. However, there were some very challenged teams that got into the Regional Tournament and advanced. Scott returns some pieces, but this could be the slow demise of a respected program.
  2. If Augusta sits in the 2-3 then Scott's role players have to step up. Trame, Dumlao, and Chad Ohmer need to be a viable threat from behind the arc. The key is the turnover battle and which team controls the pace. Teams with effective bigs have given Scott trouble in recent years. Scott can match Augusta in terms of size. Scott will be more athletic. If, IF...Scott can force turnovers, with student-athletes like Perrin, Dumlao, and Ohmer brothers Scott can make it rough for Augusta to grind it out. I will take the Eagles by 7. Either way the Senior class from Augusta has been great to follow.
  3. Last 7 seconds JC passes for a touchdown.... What a game.... Great job eagles!!!! J.C. 27 Scott 26
  4. The intensity up in this place! ‪#‎Eagles26‬ ‪#‎JC21‬ 1:58 left to play, JC ball on the 47
  5. Eagles intercepted the ball on the 41 4:17 left to play
  6. NKY is very lucky to have two great scoring sophomores. Jake Ohmer from Scott High eclipsed the 1,000 point total in their Regional Seminfinal victory over Harrison County. Cole and Jake are one of many talented young players in NKY. Ethan Snapp (junior from Newport), Carson Williams (junior, Owen Co), and Matt Wilson (JR, Campbell Co) also are very, very good players. That would be a great AAU team!!
  7. Everyone is forgetting about Scott's Jake Ohmer. All he did was lead them in scoring for the season and run Point Guard for Coach Carr as a Freshman. He is now a year older, stronger and taller. He had a great AAU Circuit as well.
  8. While watching the UK game versus Ohio I noticed a Mosier on the O-Line. I knew that he walked on but he started today. He had a GREAT block on the MLB on Boo Williams long, very long TD run in the First Quarter.
  9. Would Coach Henley consider a return to Covington?
  10. No way Kendall looks with what he has in the cupboard at Harrison.
  11. All wrong......Dayton GreenDevil team from 1996. 4th and goal at the 3 yard line and down by 3. Lost to eventual State Champion Beechwood Tigers.
  12. I think Scott will have to rebound as a team. rebounding is about positioning and "want to". They have a few kids (sophomore Manny Allen, played really well this summer & Junior CJ Seay). Those two will get the first shot.
  13. Harrison will be very tough as well. I think Mason continues to win games. Clark will play great defense and get better. The sleeper team has to be Scott. They played 20 games last year with out their best player and top 5 performer Blake Schneider. When he did return he still was not 100%. Jake Ohmer, sophomore to be, stepped in and averaged 15 per game. They have to be considered one of the best backcourts in the 10th and NKY. The Top 5 has to be: Camels, Harrison, Mason, Clark, and Scott, however just my humble opinion.
  14. Campbell County is the team to beat because they were cutting the nets down last year. Holbrook was a big loss. However, Wilson and Jackson are a year older and their is not doubt that this is their team. Last year they struggled because they struggled to share the ball. Perfect example was the first game with Brossart. They were selfish and Brossart blew them out. However, in the post season they played together and shared the ball. Losey is a good defender and I believe #25 has grown about 4 inches and is very, very good. Other than Scott, no one pushed them to the limits in the postseason before Rupp.
  15. Also I watched the Camels many times this summer and when they had their full squad they were very impressive. They are a clear, very clear leader of the 10th and could win a couple at Rupp, if healthy and based on draw.
  16. No talk of Jake Ohmer from Scott. The Sophomore to be was their leading scorer when Blake Schneider was out with an injury. Al the kid do was average 15 per game. It would be hard to think of a better shooter in the Region.
  17. This team will be a tough out if their PG play is consistent.
  18. I heard Bracken County was offering the job for the third time to someone. I am completely unaware of who this candidate is?
  19. I am not going to say a word until the night of the region finals and my team is sitting in the Regional Finals.
  20. He would fit in nicely at West Liberty. They are a D2 school that is always in the top 10. They get up and down the floor. That is the same school that Corey Pelle from Silver grove went to and thrived!!
