  1. Look for good things from Brandon Ward at CovCath this year. Had a great off season.
  2. There is always room for good players....... unless it's your kid getting bumped.

  4. Lacrosse is gaining momentum in the Bluegrass State hopefully it will be a KHSAA recognized sport in the next few years.. Dixie, CovCath & Notre Dame currently offer lacrosse in Northern Kentucky. The Northern Kentucky Warriors have grade school & high school level teams as well. Need to get Campbell & Boone County schools on board soon.

  6. Great recognition for the Shamrocks & Kentucky LAX! Good luck this year.
  7. No chance...zero of him staying at Villa. There is a good chance Villa will not even have enough kids to field a team.
  8. Great video Walter! Not sure why you left Tobler off the the cover when you listed everyone else?
  9. It was an all out battle. Great game. Great atmosphere. Great teams. As a high school player or fan you could not ask for a better final game. Not many kids get to play in front of 6000+ crazy fans. Unfortunately someone has to go home. Good luck to the Bull Dogs! Represent the 9th well. CCH players... Pauley, Fredrick & Tobler hang your heads high on a great season & career. You fought like warriors!
  10. With Englemon out, it seemed odd that CCH would leave Tobler out of the game. He was doing a go job on Chames all night. Would have created a mismatch for Schuh's defender and gave CCH the rebounding advantage.
  11. Newport beat Dixie in the paint, too many second chances and put backs by Newport. If CovCath neutralizes Newport inside game & second chances, CovCath should win easy.......if not .....it'll be a close one.
  12. I only ask because my kids go to St. Joe's and I'm trying to decide where to send them to High School That's easy.......CovCath &/or Notre Dame ..... best all around academics & athletics in NKY. Just ask the current 8th graders at St Joe's why so many are headed to Kenton Co.
  13. Great TEAM win by the Colonels. Bo & Sawyer stepped it up offensively hitting the midrange jumpers with Campbell sagging defensively. Ruthsatz played one of his better games, under control, playing within himself, solid game. Tobler played a very good defensive game on Campbell. Freddy in the game was the difference. He brings a level of confidence to the team that is not there when he's out.
  14. Will Tony Campbell be a force in the paint tonight or will camp out behind the arc and shoot 3's? Will HC guard Sawyer Pauly tonight? Will Gabbard continue his steller play of late? Will Nick Fredrick Play? Will Nick Rutsatz have more assist than turnovers tonight? Will Tobler & Schuh stay out of foul trouble? Will Christian McClenden be a factor in tonights game? Answer these questions and you may be able to pick a winner.
  15. Fredrick was not a factor in the first matchup with Holy Cross. His back injury happened the day before in practice. He scored zero points in that game and CCH controled the game from start to finish. They will miss him but they have others who can pick up the slack.
  16. Will Cov Cath come ready to play tonight after the poor performance on Tuesday? Always interesting to see how a team rebounds after a tough loss. I assume Fredrick will not be playing, so that should favor Dixie from a a defensive stand point, only having to stop Ruthsatz at the guard position. Will Hatton guard Ruthsatz? Will one of the blue colonels step up to carry some of the load?? Tobler & Schuh could be big factors in this game if they can get the ball inside to them.
  17. Dunking is part of the game. Everyone (most) loves to see a good dunk. Let them dunk before & during the game. Coaches should be able to regulate their players when it comes to this issue not the KHSAA. Pre-game dunking has caused some injurys but very few when considering the number of kids that are in the lay-up lines across the state on any given night.
  18. Summer of 2010 at June scrimmages at Male. Kids were dunking prior to their game. Kid came down wrong on his leg and snapped it....ugly. To me this was more of a coaching issue.... the kids were getting out of hand trying crazy stuff. Coach should have backed them down.
  19. CovCath's best win is over Lafayette and they have a recent victory over NCC as well. Lost to Holmes. CovCath has yet to be ranked this season. There's an argument to rank them over LexCath. I'm not ready to rank them over Lafayette but I understand why some may feel they should be over Lafayette and LexCath. I haven't seen CovCath yet. I have seen Lafayette, LexCath and Montgomery County. Cov Cath has also had quality wins against Cincinnati,Ohio teams: Moeller, Winton Woods & Taft
  20. Cov Cath takes on Lafayette tonight in the Toyota Classic at 9pm. Who wins? What are the keys to victory for either team? Any key match ups?
  21. Hey LAX fans any news for the upcoming season? How did the divisions shake out? Are schedules set ? Any new teams added?
