Even Newport playing at its best and not having let downs.......they do not have enough to beat the Colonels unless CovCath really is off on their shooting. Which in BOK can happen. Thinking it will be a 63-54 win for the Colonels..................

 

I also predict BOK will not have enough employees working as well..................Ha

This game may be close for a quarter but then Cov Cath gradually pulls away and wins 66-53.

This game is about playing solid, fundamental basketball and minimizing mistakes. The better job Newport does, the closer the game and opportunity for an upset will be.

If you want to make sure you can hear the broadcast, with two excellent announcers I would strongly suggest you listen to Cov Cath radio broadcasts. I have heard from many people who could not get the broadcast from nkysports.com when New Cath played Holmes the other night. Just a suggestion.

CCH 53-46

Like others are predicting, CovCath wins but much closer than the average fan would think. I think this a battle well into the 4th and the Colonels win by 3-5.

 

Like I said from the beginning in the prediction thread for the 9th, with this exact foursome remaining, it will be CovCath vs Holmes, take III.

This game will be closer than most think. Colonels should win in single digits but Newport is no slouch. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Newport upsets them especially if CCH doesn't shoot well and has the performance they did against Ryle. I know Ryle is not great but other than Schuh CCH went throw the motions, or at least it seemed that way to me. Ryle just looked terrible and missed so many open lay ups. I don't credit Ryle scoring 30 points to CCH defense.

Cov Cath should win by 10. But Newport has the athletes and if they all decide to turn that motor on for 32 minutes they could pull off the upset.

CCH by 15 to 18.

We didn't broadcast the game against Newcath...that's why you couldn't get it. It was never advertised that we were doing the game either.

Depends which Newport team shows up.

 

If Newport plays smart and under control, they are more than capable of beating Covcath.

 

Me thinks Covcath wins a close one. Would be surprised if the margin was more than 10.

You all may very well be right and I may be 100% wrong, but I'd be surprised if the final score was LESS than 10. Newport is not disciplined enough to play 32 minutes against CCH and "play smart" and "under control" as everyone is hoping and saying. A lot of IFS in the formula for Newport to pull off an upset.

 

Is Newport capable and could they win ?....sure they can.....heck Penn St beat Michigan last night when they were 0-14 in the Big Ten going into the game and Michigan was ranked #4 in the country. Will it happen - NO.....CCH advances to the title game. Cooper has a much better chance to knock out Holmes than Newport does at beating CCH IMO.
