Newport beat Dixie in the paint, too many second chances and put backs by Newport.

If CovCath neutralizes Newport inside game & second chances, CovCath should win easy.......if not .....it'll be a close one.

CCH D is much better, stronger, and more athletic than what Dixie showed - all over the court. That is why it will not be a close game. CCH is going to have to stink it up offensively against a team that doesn't play great D to have this be under 10.

 

If Newport plays smart and under control, they are more than capable of beating Covcath.

I saw four games. Thought they were good. A few calls that one might question as would be in every game in America. Strong crews.

Same can be said for 9th Region officials during the 16th region tournament. Good officials.

Newport looked very strong against Dixie. They have the players to hang with the Colonels. I think Cov. Cath. will win but it won't be walk in the park.

I thought both games on Tuesday were pretty well officiated. I wasn't at the games Monday but I don't remember a lot of discussion or harping on calls.
