Covington Holy Cross 78 Beechwood 49
KyBigHorns replied to statman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Beechwood is also missing the services of senior Gage Erdman who decided to concentrate on football/work and not basketball. Gage is a great athlete and could contribute to the tigers like Pauly does for Cov Cath..... very similar players. -

Colonels looked like they were looking forward to next weeks games. There was no emotion or intensity by the boys in blue for this one. -

St. Xavier 87 Covington Catholic 78
KyBigHorns replied to Clyde's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
The refs did not win or lose the game for either team. CovCath did not execute well, played sloppy & had to many unforced turn overs. St X was the better team that night. Rob Shaw for St X was very good. -
St. Xavier 87 Covington Catholic 78
KyBigHorns replied to Clyde's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I found it odd that Xavier went down to the locker room during the playing of the national anthem. I have never seen a team do that. Is that their normal pregame? -
Covington Catholic 80 Campbell County 57
KyBigHorns replied to Clyde's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Tobler was out for 6 weeks prior to the season starting. He was cleared to play the day before the first game. Just now starting to get his legs back. Should be more of a factor in the second half of the season. -
Covington Catholic 97 Conner 62

Hats off to Hemmerich he played a very good game for Conner. I believe he ended up with 32 -
No let down by Cov Cath after their big win over Moeller on Saturday. Colonels came out quick & never let it get close. Colonels played good team basketball with 5 guys scoring in double figures: Ruthsatz 23, Tobler 19, Frederick 15, Schuh 11,Heppler 10.

I heard a rumor that Nate hurt his knee again over the weekend. I hope it is just a rumor and no truth to it. Can anyone confirm??? -

LAX split news?
KyBigHorns replied to Bluegrasscard's topic in KY Swimming, Track, Lacrosse, Golf (High School)
LAX in KY does not need controversy, they solidarity, if we want to continue the growth of the sport within the state. AD's across the state will be less likely to consider adding LAX to their programs if the other teams across the state can't work together. -
Cov Cath's Coach T Has Passed Away
KyBigHorns replied to Mustang's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
There are few people that go through life and have a significant impact on someone elses life. Coach T not only signifcantly impacted my life...he did it for hundreds of others. He had the uncanny knack of being able to know excactly what you needed weather it was a bop in the head, a kick in the butt or a few words of encouragment.... he made you matter. May God bless you Coach T for we have been blessed for knowing you. -

100% he will be at Cov Cath next year. He likes football to much & his bloodlines are Cov Cath blue. His dad played football/basketball at Cov Cath. -

Covington Catholic 2012/2013
KyBigHorns replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Fredrick has the talent to have a great senior year and could be a consistant scorer for the Colonels. He will need to attack the rim more and not force up contested 3's. -

Look for junior Ben Heppler to help fill it up from the perimeter, very good shooter. He's 6'3 with good ball handling skills, expect to see him at the 2,3 or 4 positions.
