Nothing wrong with being a 20 minute guy with college paid for. Only local kid on the roster for a new D1 program that can't compete in the NCAA tourney yet is Jake Giesler who paid for his own tuition last year. Hatton, Ruthsatz, Schulte, Bach, Bolden, McDonald are all getting D1 interest. I do think the last 2 have been on Bezold's radar. Not sure how hard he went after Campbell and Prewitt and any others that went D1 last year? Just seems he should want a little home town flavor on his team. Maybe Jake satisfies that? No. Player Pos. Does he lose a year of eligibility by sitting out that year? He was listed as a rostered player for the Norse last year though the article says he has 3 years remaining. Is it like redshirting? Just not sure how that works. Best wishes to Jake. Hard working kid!

Not surprising news here. I've loved watching this kid play since his freshman year. One of the most athletic kids I have seen. Has all of the tools to play in college. Christian Brothers would be a great school for him. I've heard lots of good things about the program and the coach. It will be interesting to see if more offers come his way. Best wishes to him. I look forward to catching him in action this year.

Walter, please explain to me how you have Pangallo ranked as a top player in the state for the class of 2015 yet in the 9th region preview you list 2 kids of the same 2015 class ahead of him. Bo Schuh and B. Stanley? All great players, just wondering why these 2 don't get your blessing to be mentioned in the state's elite yet Pangallo does?? All great players I'm just trying to figure the logic in this one.

Heard this started when the superintendent did not like a situation where his son was placed on a team. He than started to explore playing time and guidelines from other dioceses. I agree it could be fun during some booster meetings.

Always the optimist afi. :thumb: As you said, Campbell County lost their MVP from a team that sported a losing record last year. They will have to look for some underclassman to step up and help Holbrook. Brossart returns a lot of experience and will start 5 Seniors. Scott will return 7-8 Seniors-to-be, along with a couple of Soph's that will help them. I'd give a slight advantage to Brossart to win the 37th and list the Camels as the 2nd favorite just because of so many unknowns at Scott.

I agree with bolded. I saw the Travelers and Shinning Stars go at each other. Funny watching Schulte and McDonald battle against each other. Moeves, if he does go to NCC, will be a nice addition. I thought Schult looked good too. The court next to them had the Jazz playing. Brossarts bigs looked very good. Burns was going up against some really big kid from Hoops dreams and doing a good job. Trentman was playing above the rim and looked like he had more than a handful of points. Noble and Holbrook appeared to have a nice game as well. Saw the Bulldogs in action too. They have some nice players. No really big kids, but decent size and fairly athletic. They should all be solid contributors to their HS teams next season. Nice crowd on hand at the KBA.

Good luck coach Goetz, you will be missed by Holy Cross! The Tigers got themselves a good one.

Who are the names of some kids that could have breakout years this upcoming season?

In the paper today Skinner confirmed, via Brad Carr, the game for this year was cancelled.

So they canceled it for this year (somebody better tell the Enquirer) and are trying to pump life back into it for next year? Is this a senior showcase/all star game? Did same thing happen to the football version of this as well? Did they take a year or so off? I'm guessing if kids have already committed not much sense in playing in an all star game. most are probably working out with their new school?

I do love this kids game. He has great hands and makes the bucket. He knows how to finish very well. I watched his highlight tape from the Travelers and the downside I noticed is how far below the basket he plays. He does not elevate well. For his size he will need to increase his hops to play at a decent D1 level. My guess is he is already working on it. Good luck to the soph.

Any time frame for getting this job filled? I would think by the end of the school year so open gyms, summer expectations could be laid out?
