Yet when he stands 15 feet away from the basket with no one throwing the sink at him, he shoots 65%? Please do not take this as a slam on one of the best players in the state. He plays a big mans game which is great. Just not a threat from the perimeter.

Poor comparison but pulled up Lebron James shooting % 75.3% from in the paint 40% between paint and arc 37.9% from 3 land. Point is a kid should have a higher % if he is a post player. Not many kids in HS have the hops that Williams does. he should get his points form down under. Just saying that % is VERY good. Just not crazy good from where he shoots from.

Neither one shoot from beyond 10 feet out. That % while very good is not ridiculous. They are a combined 1-7 from behind the arc. Most shots are close range or put backs. Shooting % should be high.

I'm With you on the 7th grade thing. Love the folks who get all excited about how good a kid is in the 7th grade and he shaves! It levels out a bit when they get to HS. Age makes a huge difference but the gap closes as you grow older. Fact of the matter is, he will be a senior when your son is a senior too.

Let them play by the grade they are in. That is where they will be in high school.

Was this a typical 4 quarter game? Was there any defense played?

I was working over a ref for a couple of bad calls during a game, I knew him fairly well and we were chatting after the game. I kind of told him sorry for yelling at him during the game. He told me he didn't mind that, what bothered him was the other coach who was constantly in his ear every trip down the court. I never even heard the other coach, but the ref went on about his constant whining.

Love this kids game. Couple things I noticed in the video, he has great confidence in his jump shot as he never followed up and seemed to fade away after the shot. I think following up on a shot has become a lost art. Also he tends to go back to his right hand on his drives a lot. I don't think the video did him justice on just how quick he is either. Scott was a different team without him. If Blake stays healthy, Don't be surprised if they shock Campbell County this year.

I saw Brossart is without their QB. This equates to a Holy Cross shut out victory. 13-0

OK now you have me confused. You referenced deep benches not allowing soph's to get exposure. You reference Cov Cath which has one of the players listed. You mention 10th region teams that have kids that come to mind but you can't remember who they are. Not trying to beat up on you but Just curious as to what youngsters we can look forward to seeing in the next couple of years. I have always been a fan of the late bloomers and hate these type of rankings which are bogus. Only kids that go to certain camps or play on certain AAU teams get the love. Oh a little exposure in the state tourney never hurts either.

Is CCH Campbell County? If so they have a couple of nice Sophs, Bertsch and Hegyi but not sure they are or will be in the top 30 rankings in the state of Ky for that class this year or over the next 2. These kids that make the list have shinned over the summer or have played varsity on very good teams. See Cole VanHandorf who stood out on a team that just won state.

Who might they be?

Campbell County is bigger and better this year. They win by 4 TD's. NCC will be ready, as long as they come out of the first 4 weeks healthy, for district play and a run to the state semis.
