  1. Yeah All Tell......I agree. I think the worst they would have finished was 2nd in that district.
  2. What is this 7 degrees to Trinity??????? In all seriousness you cannot compare scores................If you are going to do that then just do one degree and compare the St. X score to Trinity from this year...........
  3. Ok I was just curious what teams did not make the playoffs this season.......... In Northern Kentucky we have 2 5 team districts (I think). Bishop Brossart finished 5th in the 2A district and is not in the playoffs. (NCC Holy Cross Lloyd Newport) Simon Kenton finished 5th in the 6A district but becomes the 4 seed for another district that evidently only has three teams and gets to play Trinity this Fri. What district only has the 3 teams? What other 5 team districts exist around the state?
  4. I do not think the issue that four teams from each district make the playoffs is the real problem with the playoff system. The 4 teams in is a carryover from the 4 class system. At that point you had districts with 6 or 7 teams. Also, certain districts were so much stronger that all 4 teams swept the opposing district. Now.....with 6 classes only a handful of teams throughout the state miss the playoffs and realistically this causes the blowouts. However.....you still have certain districts that will sweep all 4 games or at least win 3 out of the 4. The state needs to just cut the classes down and can still allow the 4 teams to make the playoffs per district.
  5. Just curious what makes you think this will happen based on schedules and performance this season?
  6. Actually the classes are listed as A AA AAA AAAA AAAAA AAAAAA But it is much easier to just say 1A 2A etc.......Of course the old way was just A AA AAA AAAA
  7. I think we are looking at this as more of a better seed from one district losing to the lower seed in the other district. Like a 4 beating a 1 or a 3 beating a 2.
  8. All Tell I understand that and in fact I would venture to guess Simon is better than perhaps 10-12 of the teams that make the playoffs. Unfortunately the lot you are given as the "worst team" in this district is to get conceivably year in and year out one of the top teams in the state if not Trinity then St. X.
  9. Bracken will not beat Bellevue.........Campbell County made your list????? They are perhaps the only one seed that is viewed by many as being weaker than the other playoff bound teams in the same district.
  10. Yeah you know if it were my team (and it very well could be many years) I think finishing 5th you should just end the season......Why is the KHSAA doing this? Just give seed 1 a bye.
  11. OH they have had plenty of running clocks.................:jump: Sorry could not resist.
  12. That or our jeolousy that you have football to focus on until December makes us want to find entertainment elsewhere.........:sssh:
  13. Very true in Camel Country! Need that purple tint!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. I do not think the blue colored glasses they pass out in Fort Thomas allow for any vision outside their existence!
  15. Clyde thanks for providing the info....It is really a fascinating system to determine the playoff teams. Also interesting to see where teams beaten or having beat Ky. schools wind up. Elder I assume was not close to making playoffs? Also interesting that as bad as LaSalle beat CovCath they miss the playoffs by that miniscule amount!
  16. I missed that comment They did say McCoy did not miss a beat coming in for Towles..............
  17. My poor Camels! JUst when I got on band wagon
  18. Does it really matter? Not being nasty just saying based on comments as to how the freshman is playing
  19. No always bearcats since I was growing up in Boone Co.
  20. This is one of those situations that places like Elder rise up and play that "one big game." Highlands is one that I would think they are looking at as the "easier" portion of their schedule. I still think Birds win but I will not be suprised if the Panthers pull one out.
  21. Well lets qualify Smith was from the Grove but mom is the athletic secretary at Highland so that would not be unusual for a student to go with a parent, especially when he is that great of a football player. There are a couple kids in Campbell County that do the same.
