Ok I was just curious what teams did not make the playoffs this season..........

 

In Northern Kentucky we have 2 5 team districts (I think).

 

Bishop Brossart finished 5th in the 2A district and is not in the playoffs. (NCC Holy Cross Lloyd Newport)

 

Simon Kenton finished 5th in the 6A district but becomes the 4 seed for another district that evidently only has three teams and gets to play Trinity this Fri. What district only has the 3 teams?

 

What other 5 team districts exist around the state?

Pendleton Cty didn't make the playoffs (Highlands, CovCath, Holmes, Harrison Cty)

Mason Co didn't make the playoff either.

East Ridge didnt make it. Belfry, Pike Central, Lawrence Co. and Sheldon Clark

 

East Carter didnt make it. Lewis Co, Russell, Fleming Co, and West Carter.

McCreary Central and North Laurel did not make it.

Fort Knox and Shawnee did not make it.

I don't think that Grant Co made it.

Adair County didn't make it in their 3A district, and Logan County missed it in our 5A district.

7 years ago, I could have never imagined 5A district 1 Hopkinsville finishing 0-10 and missing the playoffs for the second year in a row. Just shows how quickly poor administration decisions can kill a once proud football program.

In all, 30 teams missed the playoffs.

2. Central Hardin (6-4, 1-1)

3. Nelson County (1-9, 0-2)

Sad thing is Simon Kenton MAY be better then 2 of the teams that are seeded higher then them and head to head in this district likely finishes 3rd and maybe 2nd. I'm not sure that they might not even win this district.

Yeah All Tell......I agree. I think the worst they would have finished was 2nd in that district.

Woodford County at 6-4 does not make playoffs.

 

This is second year Pendleton and Hopkinsville do not make playoffs. Some others also miss last year?

I'll give 'em NC, but I'm not so sure about the other two. They'd have a hard time winning at Meade, and would have a hard time beating them outright following the first five games of the season. Meade teams with unsightly regular-season records have an alarming tendency to make Louisville teams sweat out playoff games.
