The two schools have very similar enrollment and are just a few miles apart. Even in 2 classes they're probably still district opponents. 6 classes is not to blame for this.

Re: the announcer on birds YouTube. I think I figured out they just pipe the PA guy into the video. that's what makes it so loud. I’d love to see kids in the future doing analysis and color commentary. Could be fun!

This might need to be its own topic. But, could there be some sort of system where teams can mutually agree not to play a district game? No one gets anything out of this. Pre-season HC could say so, Highlands could put someone else on schedule… and everyone is better off. I’m sure logistically it’s impossible. But the Birds JV would clock Harrison’s Varsity. Let less competitive teams build a schedule and still compete for 2nd/3rd/4th place. (Thinking of Beechwood’s district here. In this district 1-2 are clearly CCH/Highlands)

It's fine. You can have your opinion. But he literally jogs to the sideline and stands pretending to talk to a coach, with his shoulders completely parallel to the sideline. It is an intent to deceive with a pretended substitution. I'm probably the opposite of a Highlands fan, but this was an illegal play, and would have made a huge difference in a close game.

It's actually a 15 yard penalty for illegal participation. Even bigger deal. I'm not sure when the rule changed, but the rule definitely was added to prevent this.

The way I understand it, if Frankfort really is forefeiting, teams can either accept the forefeit, or cancel the game and find a new opponent. Not easy to do the latter at this point, but I'd be calling every team on Frankforts schedule trying to find a good week that works.
