  1. One thing to keep in mind when predicting the wins and losses for next year is that despite being a Jr., Billy Snell will declare for the draft next year.
  2. I’m more than happy for you to let me know the facts that i am missing here. I’m not sure what would back up that throwing the ball more wins the games that were lost.
  3. Balance is a myth. Throwing the ball without a good q.b, decent receivers and protection up front just loses games. If you don’t have the talent to throw, why would you?
  4. So just throw the ball more? It’s a shame you aren’t in the coaching ranks. I’d bet you’re fun to coach against! I’d love to play against a coach who didn’t do what his team was best suited to do, but just swore they needed to throw it more!
  5. This game will be a sloppy field. A day or rain and Conner’s field= Mud Bowl.
  6. LB this year i think. DB last year. He’s a bit of a hybrid and can play either/or.
  7. He’s not putting up the gaudy numbers this year, but Tad Fisher is one of the top football players in 1A. Trey Brausch (Bracken) is one of the best defensive players too. He made 17 tackles last Friday. He’s an animal.
  8. My ticket would be very, very close to the exit.
  9. This goes to the "toughen up your schedule" crowd. Say Paintsville gets clocked. Just demolished. Say a guy or two get dinged up. Say this is worst case scenario for them... Is it worth it to have "played tougher competition"? I don't know that I think it is. Sure, they don't need to schedule Fulton City. But, if they get run, will it have been worth it?
  10. JT Barrett coming up a 1/4 yard short but being given a first down. He was short. He’ll always be short.
  11. He’s a nice player. Hoping he has a great year!
  12. So. He is going to coach at Mason County. While one son attends Augusta and another Bracken County? Interesting.
  13. I’m bias. But Tad Fisher of the Bracken County Polar Bears is a very talented, naturally gifted RB. Makes plays on his own a lot of times. May not be a D1 back but he’s fast, resilient and has great vision. Tad Fisher 2
  14. They had a lot of young size last year. If those lean bodies grew, they’ll be a force.
  15. I'm fine with not calling him as good as Miller... But Miller had 2 Setty's, Russ Middleton and a few other studs on his team. Dontaie has no one near the arsenal Darius did. That's the reason for the shot discrepancy IMO
  16. Obviously you aren’t a fan of his. That’s fine. But any coach that beats Mason county from Brooksville is no slouch. Not to mention, you seem to be in the corner of a guy who has no varsity coaching experience. I have no dog in this fight. Just don’t like seeing good coaches criticized.
  17. I don't know about player development. But he beat Mason County multiple times with inferior talent at Bracken. And has a real knowledge of the game, his teams play smart, quality baseball.
  18. Heard from a booster they reached out to Scooter Charles, former Bracken Coach... not 100% sure but this source says they are gunning for him.
  19. Someone needs to get you in touch with Ron Bailey. He is the man to know for this.
  20. I feel like every year there is talk of Fairview numbers. And every year they field a halfway decent team.
  21. Seconded on both Swartz and Fisher. Either one could play (and would contribute heavily) at a bigger school. Both hard nosed and athletic. Great ball players.
  22. He has leverage that is for sure. If the A's offer the ranch then I'm sure Billy Beene will have in the contract the same language his had when he choose the minors over college football... "If you sign this, no football."
  23. I know transfers get a bad rap on this site, and there’s good reason occasionally. I don’t know Jake, or the whole story, but given the outlook the next 2 years at St Pat, and the opportunities MC can afford him educationally, you can’t look down your nose at this one, IMO.
  24. Totally missed that. Sorry!
