  1. Nice post spindoc, I lost my mon 36 years ago and I live a few minutes from the cemetary in which I visit often. I miss her dearly and think of her all the time. I agree with BleedBlue12 don't take parents for granted because when they are gone you can not make up any time. Love and charish your parent's why you still have them. JD
  2. This hard to take in as a Lloyd fan. They will definitely need to regroup and get ready for Carroll County as they have two really good running backs. My congrats to the Bellevue football team for a great finish this year and should make some noise in the playoff's. Good luck to both team's next week in the playoff's. JD
  3. Congrats Rams and best of luck in the playoff's. JD
  4. I heard final was 30 to 7 wow bad showing by Jugg's. JD
  5. Thanks Sarge I agree neither Lloyd or Walton should play a schedule like Cooper. Lloyd used to back in the day and by District Play was so beat up they had troubles. Good luck with your WV team this week and in the playoff's. Hope to see you in a few weeks. JD
  6. Congrats to the Beechwood coaching staff and players for their Championship also to Ryle for a tremendous season. JD
  7. Sarge you miss understood me I said neither Lloyd or WV played a schedule like Cooper and for strength of schedule my nod would go to Borcher's at Cooper. I am sorry if I cam accross that Lloyd had as tough or tougher schedule. Not what I was intending to say sorry if I confused anyone. Lloyd had a nice schedule they could play with these teams and some they could not. Lloyd is only in 2nd year of rebounding from a 17 player team 3 years ago. JD
  8. Sarge since the Lloyd game Walton has a new QB and is throwing the ball more from what I have heard. If this is so then with WV run and passing game will give Lloyd fits in the playoff's at WV. Lloyd however, did pull the upset last year and won a close one at WV this will be a good game however, wish them both the best of luck in first rounds and no one get hurt. JD
  9. Both Lloyd and WV had similar schedule's and if played the same schedule Cooper played would not be as impressive. My vote would go to Borchers or Trosper at this point due to strength of schedule. I like what Barth has done at WV and wish him well and they look good for the future as does Lloyd. JD
  10. What has happen to Russell's program in the day it seemed liked they had good team's and a great following. We played them at Lloyd one year in the playoff's and thought the whole town closed up and came to Erlanger. Can't make the trip this year just went back to work and may have to go in on Saturday. Thanks for the offer Ram. JD
  11. Lawnboy 13 I love that one about the Bengals thanks for a good laugh this morning. JD
  12. I used to come down to this game back in the day when I scouted for Lloyd and Russell was in our District in AA. What a great place to watch a football game and they Russell always took care of me and Smitty and put us in the press box. Since Smitty and I were good friends of Randy (Coop Dog) Cooper everyone took care of us and alwas wished a safe trip home. Both Russell and Raceland took care of us and I thank them for that. Especially when you travel 4 hour's to scout a football game. Hate to see this rivalry end. Go Rams as always from your Erlanger connection. JD
  13. Both teams have played same opponent's and not much difference in the final score's. This will be another dog fight and both team's are playing for pride. I look for both no matter the outcome to go far into the playoff's. Good Luck to both and may it go injury free this year. JD
  14. So far that has not happened at the 7th/8th grade level at Tichenor. That is why Lloyd is reaping a good year with some under classman. They have stayed since they started this program. Last group to have left was the Lions Senior team with Vocke on it going to BW with several other players. I think the kids are starting to buy into the Lloyd football program and coaching staff. Congrats Beechwood, Tichenor and CovCath on your championships. JD
  15. Mad Mikes open one on Mt Zion road in Florence. JD
  16. Congrats Raceland Rams keep the ship going and good luck in the playoff's. JD
  17. Congrats to Dixie on a big win in District play. Now as far as sad state in Union for Ryle they may have a setback in 2012 however, have you see the kids that are on their way up to play varsity. If not go watch the Beechwood vs Ryle freshmen championship at Beechwood today. JD
  18. Mike Burns Funeral arragement are for Wednesday October 24 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Anderson Township in Cinncinnati. Visitation from 9 - 10 a.m and funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Church. They had a moment of silence at the Lloyd vs Newport game Friday night at Lloyd. JD
  19. I left at the in the 3rd and Newport 13 and Lloyd 12. Slippery field and both team's were making mistakes. Jugg's seem to fall behind early and come out of it in the end with a flurry of score's, oh except the NC game. JD
  20. Newport up 13 to 12 at the half and Lloyd comes back to win 30 to 13 on senior night at Lloyd. Newport again only had about 22 kid's dressed for the game. This was sad and the kid's that were there played with alot of heart. JD
  21. Becky Alford was a special lady in my books and for over 25 years I had the pleasure of working with her and knowing her and her family. Just like 2 humped camel I am upset that this has happened in Newport. I hope they get this worked out. JD
  22. Walton by as many as they want running clock second half. JD
  23. There is a reason why NewCath plays uper level football during non district games, they have a very good team and should go far in the playoff's this year. Best 5 - 4 team I have seened in a long time. JD
  24. I am shocked at this as long as I have known him he has always talked to me with respect and we talked a lot at several football games. Sorry to see and hear this. JD
