Who are the legit candidates for POY in NKY?

Barker

Fogle

Durham

Kuntz

McCoy

 

 

Obviously this is biased towards skill players so it's tough for linemen and defensive players to win despite their high level of skill.

 

Others? I thought about Nussbaum but thought he missed a handful of games. Obviously he's on the list in a full year.

I feel Nussbaum from Beechwood even though he was out he will make up for it in the long run. I like Smith QB from Lloyd leading passer and his receiver is leading in receiving. JD

Between McCoy and Bir. Whoever wins state, that's your POY.

If Barker can lead his team deep into the playoffs it could be him or possibly Fogle.

 

Same with Bir, if he can knock off the Birds and they win state it would be him IMO.

 

McCoy is in the running as long as he keeps doing what he has been doing.

I'm going with Fogle. He does it all for Conner on both sides of the ball.

With 8 games played, he should be. Let's wait til all have played 10 games. A senior will win this award, guarantee it. That makes the choices:

6A- Dunham Campbell Co.

5A- Barker Conner

4A- Bir Cov Cath with McCoy on his heels

2A- Hayes NCC especially after they dismantled the Juggs

1A- DJ Walker Dayton

Few observations:

 

Did I read correctly, neither Bir or Kuntz has a rushing TD?

 

Enquirer stat page has Barker with 9 rushing TD's.

 

Fogle with nearly 17 ypc, impressive. I know he has at least 1 ko return.
