  1. Congrats to the JUGG'S and good luck next week vs Holy Cross. JD
  2. It is home coming for the Jugg's and I wish them best of luck. GO JUGG'S !!!!! JD
  3. This is why schools should not drop their football or sports program as it builds character and this young man is proof of what sports has done in his life. Great article and thanks for sharing. JD
  4. Can not promise I can make it Friday to Highlands, will have to see how things shake out by Friday, thanks ChiefSmoke. JD
  5. Lloyd off to best start in several years plus this is Home Coming Week and I think the Jugg's are ready. They play hard and the defense is tough. I pick Lloyd again in a close on GO JUGG'S. JD
  6. Chiefsmoke now that I am retired I just enjoy going to a game on Friday and watching. I do miss it, an especially you and I talking before the Lloyd vs Mason games. You are and will be a special person in my life I got to know. Your love for the game and players will go on forever. Leatherneck is also right you are special. JD
  7. Congrats to Chief and the Mason coaches and players. JD
  8. Congrats to the Jugg's yes the Smith boys are tough. #15 receiver for Lloyd is tough and when he is in the open look out he can fly ( did not want to butcher the young mans name by trying to spell it). The young man Lawrence #27 for WV has alot of speed and cut backs. Ran two punt returns back in first half. Lloyd needs to work on special teams and also personal fouls/penalties cost them 2 touchdowns in first half. Good luck Jugg's next up Gallatin County. JD
  9. Wow a big first half a lot of momenum changes. WV 24 to 16 at the half and then lightening came and they cleared the stadium. I left at the 1/2 and not sure if they ever got started again. Both teams looked good and Lloyd had 2 t/d's called back. JD
  10. Congrats Lawnboy on your up coming induction. Back in the day I spent most of my time up at Softball City. It was the place to be if you loved the game. The refreshments and chicken wings also played a big part. Congrats again. JD
  11. Lawnboy13, what is the Softball City website? Thanks. JD
  12. Nardo is right if you coach at BW 7th and 8th grade or freshmen if you are not playing are expected to go to the games. I love to see a school that has alot of coaches that should tell you something about the school, coaching staff and program. Now for Coach Brilz he is a protector and if one of his players is being mistreated or feel's one is in harms way you bet your sweet - - - he is going to be in your face. I can say that about the whole BW staff don't back them into a corner they will protect their players. Great comments by quickslick another class act. Great job TIGER players & coaches. JD
  13. Great Win for BW shows what a good coaching staff can do when the chips are down. Congrats to BW. Sorry for HC losses with injuries hate them as I posted early. I hate to see a kid go down and not be able to play. Again Congrats to the TIGERS on a great win and hope they can continue to progress with the young players. JD
  14. What time does it start Saturday? JD
  15. Now from what I heard it was a junior player for lions who got rocked by a BCPWFL line man 3 times his size, kid was in hospital with concussion and possible spinal problem. I have not heard anything else. When I coached we only played BCPWFL in an All Star game at the end of the season. JD
  16. Tim Barker 2nd row 4th from left, face's all familiar just can not remember all names. JD
  17. uk#1fan, did they backed out or did NKYFL decide to cancel remaining games with BCPWFL due to injuries to the smaller players in the NKYFL. I heard that there were a few serious injuries a few weeks ago. I am not involved with NKYFL much and had heard someone talk about one evening last week. JD
  18. Ran into Red Moore yesterday at the store and he told me about POMP. I was shocked, played softball against him many times when I coached and played for Waldo Peppers. He was a great guy and fun to talk with in between games. RIP POMP. JD
  19. My Dad(USMC) and Uncle(USAF) both served in World War II, my dad is still alive and will turn 92 this month. My uncle passed away years back. I go to the VA hospital twice a week and talk with several WW II vets but most of them are Vietnam Vets. I as did leatherneck and my two brothers served during Vietnam all (USMC). Thanks for everyone who has posted love to read and hear these stories. JD
  20. May God Bless the family and him my prayers are also with you. JD
  21. Don't know how Lloyd put those stats out as I have been told they have no one keeping stats as the person who used to do it is gone now. Unless someone taking them off game film's and reporting. The players listed are good however can not see those being right. JD
  22. Just like last years seniors, I have been watching this years group play football since they have been 6 yrs old and I hate to see this happen to them in their senior year. I hate to see any kid get injured to this extent. I wish them all well and to get better. For tonites game I will go with the Tigers in a close one. Good Luck Tigers. JD
  23. This 92 year old vet had 92 head of cattle stolen from a back field along with another breakin where they stole his TV and couple thousands of dollars. He said he wants his rifle back in case the two other guy's get out of jail and try to get revenge. He was not scared and said he would protect himself and home again. Like every one else hate to see someone lose a life however, don't mess with the Vet's. JD
