I would bet that Beechwood if they did scout a practice worked it out with Coach from Conner before they would send someone to watch and scout a practice. I would think both coaches agreed this could be done if it actually took place. JD

Watched the All Star game last night with my good friend Bob Myerhoff and he had the following statement, he has not talked to any team regarding coaching baseball in NKY next year and is not persuing any job at this time. He did say if he was approached he would listen to what someone had to say. He is not being offered a job at Lloyd or any other school at this time. So he would like for the rumors to stop and when he has decided what he wants to do he will let everyone know. JD

From what I seen on film they could use more players. For what they had last year they never quit and with heart like that it can get contageous and I hope more players come out this year to play. I wish Paris the best. JD

No mention about Louisville Holy Cross they have been contenders the last few years up until they met Mayfield in the playoff's past two years. I thought I read early on they had some good kids back. I think Class A will be a tough class this year to pick a clear cut number one until playoffs. For now until Hazard is knocked off will place them number 1 followed by Mayfield. The rest to be seen as season progresses. JD

Frankfort has no running back and face's same issue's as BW they will need to develpe their young talent and by playoff time will be ready to play as every Frankfort team does at the end of the season. Last year they had two decent QB's and one was a big boy and could play from what I seen last year in the playoff's. Yes finally they Frankfort will need to travel to Ft Mitchell to play after going to Frankfort the past two years. Don't count Frankfort or Raceland out they will be there come playoff's. JD

From what I understand schedule is same as last year. Look out for the Jugg's new look with a white helmet with a blue LM logo on the side's. Looks pretty good from what I have seen. Lloyd has some good players returning and had a successful JV team last year. The Smith boy's will be tough and they have alot of young players with plenty of playing experience time will tell when they have their first scrimmage. I wish them well. JD

Okay to clear up my last post about number of players. I was told by one of the fathers last night that half the team is on the field learning and other half is lifting weights and they alternate daily 1/2 in weight room and 1/2 on the field. They have around 40 kids out for the team. Sorry for confusing anyone. JD

I talked to Bob at 6:00 p.m. tonite and he was told by Super he was not being renewed for next year. Sorry Beechwood just made a big mistake in letting him go. Super said they need to head in different direction. Sorry about my earlier statement he was not let go. JD

I just confirmed from a very reliable source this is all untrue and Mr. Myerhoff will be the coach of the Beechwood Tigers going forward. WOW how rumors start is beyond me. This would be a huge mistake if it happens. JD

I hope they are however, I stopped by practice on Monday and only saw about 20 kids practicing. I know during baseball season I talked to the Head Coach and they had 43 kids signed up. I hope they have more players or could be a long season. I know the Smith brothers are back along with the Sands kid. I wish them the best and good luck. JD

ftsnbul, you are correct down the middle and the defender tried to jump and fell. Mexitucky I too have heard about this game in every bar conversation about the 1976 team and game against NewCath. Like I said either team would have won state that year that is how good both teams and programs were. Thanks for everyones thoughts and prayers it means alot to the Erlanger Community. JD

Yes he did retire from Highlands and coached football also there. JD

Oh my I forgot a few others: Buddy Didis and my brother-in-law Randy Coop-Dog Cooper were also coaches on this team and the Statman John Salyers. JD

Yes Red Dog was the head coach of that team and was surrounded by Mike Burns, Rudi Tassini, Richard Wilmhoff, Rusty Kordenbrock and several others. I also apologize to everyone for the spelling of Doug's last name I probably butchered it. JD

Greatest Game I ever saw in 1976 at Lloyd High School was in 1976 against NewCath about 2 min and 15 seconds to go NewCath had the lead. Lloyd droved down the field and scored and won the game. Whoever won would eventually be the State Champs. Anyone at the game would witness a great come back by Lloyd A young man by the name of Doug Burkemeier (sp) caught a pass in the end zone to win for Lloyd. He passed away today with ALS and we will miss him very much. A great young man and a great football player. The Erlanger Community wishes his family and friends the best. Doug you will always be remembered for your courage and fight with this decease. I Love you and will miss you. May God Bless you and your family. JD

Yes Jeoff and Jon Long both 3 sport atheletes, Also my brother Ken Dunhoft from Lloyd and especially Jelani Brandon from Lloyd back in the 60's there were several at LLoyd and all Northern Kentucky schools. I just can not remember all their names however like I said there were several from all over NKY. JD
