Spencer "Downtown" Brown (Mount Saint Joseph web-site)

Spencer Brown is 6’3 180 pound receiver from Bishop Brossart High School, Spencer represents another big time recruit from Northern Kentucky. While playing for Mustangs he set two school records for offense! Most TD receptions in a career, most TD receptions in a game. Spencer also received several accolades: Skilled Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, Tri-State Internet Sports Radio Offensive All-Star Team, NKAC All-Star Team and NKFCA All-Star Team. Spencer is undecided on a major for next fall but is excited to begin his career as a MSJ Lion!

We are all really happy for Spencer Brown.

 

He has been committed to Brossart football since day one, and works extremely hard to achieve his goals. He will knock the doors down of the weight room and will be an asset to the MJS program.

 

I think MSJ is a great fit for him. The program is on the upswing and have not had a losing record since 2001, going 78-32 in that timeframe, with a win-loss record of 6-4 this past season.

 

Brown has a ton of potential at wide-receiver and his best football is in front of him. His numbers suffered last season when Jesse Orth, our quarterback went out with a season-ending injury.

 

In addition to being a great football player, he is a super kid. Congratulations and Best Wishes on a rewarding career with the Lions.

Congrats to Spencer! A very coachable young man. Good athlete. I think he will do well at MSJ. As Mustang said, the loss of the varsity QB hurt him last year. He was getting some looks from bigger schools but couldnt match the production of his junior year.
