They moved the ball once against Mayfield, down to about the 5 but didn't score. Mayfield scored both times they had the ball and was up 14-0. Murray had their way against Hoptown and scored about every time. Murray can throw it and run it and has a decent size line. Murray seems balanced. I thought Mayfield looked very good against Murray but it's just a scrimmage.

A good hard scrimmage is good for your team. This scrimmage will make Bwood better in the long run. If no injuries then the scrimmage did it's job.

Mayfield could be down. But too many things in this scrimmage don't leave me to believe that is likely. No QB, didn't run England very much and several players were out, 4 to 5 starters. Not to say O doesn't have a nice team cause it does. Mayfield will have to get better to compete for a State Title. Owensboro will also need to get better to compete for a State Title. No team has ever won or lost anything in an early season scrimmage.

21-7 Owensboro. Mayfield is giving lots of looks to just about everyone. Kirby got to throwing it all right after a shaky start. England hardly ran the ball.

Since Mayfield will be without it's starting QB, I don't really have a clue. I know Mayfield will try to run the ball and it all depends on the line and that will be something that really needs to be watched. Last year a rebuild year? Yes and no. Lots of injuries derailed that team and we weren't as good as I thought or anybody else thought. Looking forward to this scrimmage to answer a few questions and see what this season could be.

We are practicing. We already have a hickup with Robbins out practice with a broken foot. But he might be back for the Graves game , Kirby is getting the reps at this point. I hear we we will have a good defense. The line will determine how far we go as we have plenty of skill players. I expect us to compete for a State Title but not as the favorite. Expecting big things from England this season as he should be one of the better backs in the State.

Looks like there is a receiver, player named Cam Wade who plays for East Nashville and has several offers from several schools. Looks like someone is saying on X that he will be transferring to PT. Also there is a post where he is on the Junior Olympic track and field team.

Mayfield was getting beat 21-0 at halftime against Fort Campbell in the playoffs. Fort Campbell was the number 1 team in the whole State according to Litkinhouse, this was 82 or 83. Anyway's, Mayfield came back in the second half and won 28-21. A unlikely victory but sometimes you get those.

What a tough schedule does is teach a team how to fight. Of course, you can over schedule but I don't think Central has.

It's a pretty offense. And fun to watch. Why couldn't a team run the spread and then run the wing t all in the same game? Hard to defend and it would take some special athletes.

I went to his retirement dinner, good food, lots of tributes from former players and some coaches were there from Paducah Tilghman and Hopkinsville, Caldwell County, Owensboro and Milan Tennessee.

I wouldn't call this a big get. Not near the talent level as Acree. He will have to improve to be a good high school QB. He has the mobility but has to improve his decision making throwing the ball. He wasn't going to beat out Robbins and with Stinson coming in as a Freshman not enough room for him. I know he thought he got a raw deal at Mayfield. He didn't. This is his third high school in 3 years.

Murray hardly ever plays a real tough schedule. It's not in their DNA.
