Both teams coming off state runner up seasons will look to start fast. Anderson coming in ranked 3rd in the state of OH regardless of division with multiple Division 1 recruits on the roster. Cooper coming in with a solid returning squad and poised to make another deep run in the KHSAA playoffs come November. Anderson will have a new QB behind center this year while Cooper has senior Cam O'Hara. This one will likely come down to which offense can establish their run game and which defense can stop the run. This early in the year, the heat will be a factor as well. Which team has more two way players? 

 

At the end of the day, this is game one of the 2025 football season. There will be mistakes made by both teams. The team able to limit mistakes and capitalize on the other team's will be the victor. Good luck to both teams and hope for an injury free game. 

Anderson will win this one. Just to much talent.

People seem to bash team's schedules for being too weak. I think Cooper has a good schedule. They cannot dictate their district opponents. You might think the AD doesn't like the HC lol, but the Cooper coach/AD realizes just how important RPI is in the long run.

I love how Cooper scheduled this year and no matter what happens in the season (assuming no injuries) the Jags will be battle tested for the playoffs.

Give me Anderson (OH) in this one but I will be rooting for the Jags. 

I’ll be pulling for Cooper in this one and think they’ve developed an excellent program in recent years. With that being said, Anderson is a machine. Raptors win handily, but I’d love to be wrong.

I saw Anderson play South Oldham the past two years and they were by far the best team on their schedule. I’m sure Anderson lost a lot but they’ll just reload with transfers like last season. I think Cooper will find some success offensively but I have a hard time seeing them stop the Raptors. 42-21 Anderson.

Anderson's focal point this year is actually suppose to be their defense which is different than years past. That's not a good sign for opposing teams if their defense is legit as it is suppose to be. I think Cooper catches Anderson at the perfect time in week 1 with a chance to expose Anderson's defense early before they get rolling but I don't think Cooper has the play makers at the skill positions like years past to make Anderson pay enough to be able to pull out the win. 28-17 Anderson.

Great preparation game for Cooper. I don't see a path to victory in this game for Cooper, but it will help them in pursuit of a 5A title. A close game is unlikely.

Yes. Even though they lost alot of play makers on offense to graduation their offense is pretty much plug and play. The way their offense is ran anyone who is apart of it is going to have a chance to make plays.
