Great game...even with some suspect calls by the officials. I do have a question about the one over-and-back call. Scott Co was in-bounding the ball on their end of the court, pass was high and it was tipped by Scott Co player before going into back court where they retrieved it. Over and back was called giving ball to Henry Clay. Was this a correct call? Is establishing possession not required here?

Shaking hands after (or even prior to) a sporting contest, meeting, business deal, etc is always good.......whether you are a "winner" or "loser" in the contest/negotiations. Without going into a lot of detail on this issue, lets just say that I am totally on the other side from PurplePride92....but I'll still shake his hand if we ever meet!

Very well stated.........we generaly give teachers of athletics (i.e. coaches) a lot of leeway that teachers of academics (i.e the 3 r's) would not even condsider.

I was told the last few minutes of that the game was the loudest cheering they had heard in several years at the 41st District Tournament!! Franklin County making a run....but Frankfort High held them off. Great win for the panthers!!!

You got to be kidding me to think that would happen......my point is rather than a dead ball fall, it needs to be a live ball foul with options to the receiving team.......similar to college and pro rules.......works great there!!

Regardless of whether you are pro/con on off-side kickoffs, the rule concerning the kicking team being off sides needs to change. Rather than an automatic dead ball and re-kick, let the play continue to completion. Then let them receiving team either accept/reject the penalty.

UK is an extreme long shot to land Timmons. With Coach Phillips struggling to keep his job, I think that makes it all the more unlikely. UK has two things in their favor - one is they need athletes and playing time could be plentiful, and two is that it is close to home so family could easily make the trip to the games. All indication is that Timmons is more inclined to go to a top notch program and compete every day with the best.
