Is this Scott County team as deep as they seem? Jamel Banks who started the Lexington Catholic game, didn't even play this game.

The shots he made were layups also. I don't think he hit a jumper all night. Only missed 1 FT if I am not mistaken.

 

Hines Jones is a fine fine player. He and Martini came up huge for Scott County tonight.

Hated to see Jordan Green foul out on the play they called his 5th foul on. 50/50 loose ball with minimal contact. Rough way to see his high school career come to an end. He and Tisdale had a great game. Watching both of them work their way into the lane for buckets was a lot of fun.

Allan Cutler just said the same thing on his WLEX Channel 18 sports. Said it was a terrible way to foul out of a game like that. He seemed to think it should have been a no-call.

No. Not very deep.

Kind of hate to see the storybook run end for Henry Clay. Wouldn't it have been something to see them get to Rupp after the offseason they had?

Glad you brought that up. I asked that during the game in the update thread and never got an answer. I thought that he had to establish possession but I'm not sure of the rule.

Possession has to be established on an inbounds pass before it can be over and back. If there is a loose ball during play, it is the last team to touch it that determines whether it is over and back. Missed the call.

Everyone wants to talk about the fifth foul. I agree it was not a very good call. However, Green's fourth foul was far worse than his fifth. By rule, he was in legal guarding position even though he was moving back.
