"Collage Gameday's Tom Rinaldi does a piece every week. He did one on this story a few weeks back. It is one of my favorites. Iowa does a fantastic job at this hospital, and their treatment of the kids and their families is phenomenal.

Wasn't at today's game, I have seen them play a couple times this year thus far. They have good size, excellent speed. Maybe be the most talented freshman team Trinity has had, since the 09 squad. They're going to be fun to watch over the nexted few years!

Trinity's, Rondale Moore is my pick. His speed and vision of the field is phenomenal. His moves, to avoid being hit are just sick. Makes the best defenders look really silly!

Wow, appears T has improved since the last meeting. That score was 37-7 if I'm not mistaken. It sounds like this team is very good, future appears bright for the Rocks!

It would seem X doesn't have the better athletes on this years freshman team. In fact, I have heard some compare this years Rocks freshman team to the one from 2009. Athletic and fast.

Was like that in the early 80s when I played as well. Also played DeSales and Bishop David twice.

Based on wins, state titles etc...Bob Beatty Trinity.

Rumor I'm hearing about nexted years T schedule is, they have dropped Ensworth, Brentwood and Lafayette. Picked up Warren Central and Carmel from In. and Moeller.

No magic expected, 2-0 is great, as long as it is done the right way. I would think Beatty is little more interested in how the freshman play and represent T then you imagine. After all, they represent a good portion of the FUTURE ROCKS!

I have also made it to both games, and have no problem grooming two QBs. However, not at the cost of wins and losses, and certainly not for nepotism. Having been at both, has afforded me opportunity to hear fans commenting on th QB situation. In the case of the Brentwood game, because of the close proximity of both fan bases, Brentwoods fan where as shocked as Ts. At the nexted game, watch closely the play calling when #18 is in, versus when the backup is in. You should see a little bias when it comes the number of run and pass plays each is given. He is a good coach, no doubt about it, but his decision making is clouded by his emotions. "This is not good" either. incidently, had it not been for two of the assistant coaches, the starter would not had played in the OT. If memory serves me, he ran it in, to tie the score (kicker actually won it). I only want what's best for T as well, and the current QB situation at the freshman level, I'm just comfortable with.

Just like in the Highlands game, T was starting to pull away, and Ts OC puts in the backup QB (his grandson) and things start to go south. The starting QB is exceptional and should not come out. The coaches emotions are making this team work much harder for victories then it should. Fans and parents are well aware of what's going on as well.

Seth Jutz is the qb, and is the top freshman qb in the Southeast. Very intelligent and extremely poised and mature. Also has a very strong arm. Looking forward to Saturday!

They have a good size team both body wise and numbers. The Qb is the top freshman qb in the state, and one of the best in the south east. Good size and a cannon for an arm!

With the schedule they faced, and a pretty young and inexperienced team, Coach Beatty of Trinity, may have done his finest coaching job, since arriving in St. Matthews. After concluding the regular season at 5-5, the Rocks where able to go 5-0 in the playoffs, including revenge victories over Male and St. X, ending with a dominate win over a previously 1 loss Dixie Heights. Pretty impressive.

I didn't get to see all the games, but from what I have read on here and in the paper, Donald Brooks had a pretty special game. With that said, he wasn't even voted the MVP. Nothing against Ryan Young, but I think Mr. Brooks truly deserved it. Add Ryan Young along with Donald Brooks to that list.

Manual lost to both X and T last year, and still pulled the upset. This is rivalry game, and anything can happen, as fans of X and T can attest. So don't be surprised if Manual doesn't pull another stunner.

Just a question here, does Cathedral not have a football stadium of their own? Just curious?

Rocks have no consistency on offense, and the pass defense is still needs alpt of work. Not sure if coach Betty has no confidence in Qb passing down field or what, but the offense is very vanilla and no imagination. Also way to many penilties on both sides of the ball. Rocks have a whole lot of work ahead of them to make anything of this season. Expected a much more polished product on the field, after last years disappointment.

Marshall stadium, Fr. Harry Jansing field...not a bad seat in the house! Go Rocks!

Assuming he is still their, Canon Jackson at Trinity is a pretty good one. I believe he will be a senior this year, so he will hopefully, have a good year.

That's awesome...good for him. Hope he makes the right choice for him not everyone else.

Could be a sign of things to come, understand he still very interested in coaching and has been contacted by a couple different schools regarding a return to the side lines. Hard to get that coaching bug out of your blood, when you have done it for as long as he has.

I wasn't able to make the tournament this year, had family members go to all the games up to the semis. They said the same thing, he moaned and cryed about every call from the tip til the last whistle. He did the same couple years ago when Trinity beat them for state, all the way up to the final seconds, and they where getting soundly beaten. Would think officials would get tired of it, and T his butt up.

2005 4A state championship game pitting heavily favored St.X vs Trinity, having dominated the Rocks in the rival game, X entered this title game a heavy favorite. X took to opening kickoff right down the field and scored, only to have the extra point blocked. That block, as it turns out, was a momentum changer. From that point on, Trinity methodically dominated the remainder of the game, which included stopping X on 4th and 2 inside the 5, under 2 minutes to go. Believe the final was 13-6. Rumor has it, that this is the game, X felt so confident in winning, they actually had hats , shirts and sweat shirts pre-made and on the field ready to wear.
