Who wins? Why?

Manual has been able to upset Male in the past, but I think Male is able run the table in district play this year.

After what X did to Manual, I think Male names the score.

My understanding from some at the X-Manual game is that M was "horrible."

 

Self-destructed? Penalties - turnovers ?

 

{Not to take anything away from X} - but perhaps M was exposed and weakness of schedule was deceiving record-wise.

"High School" When they were founded they were known as the high school. There was nobody else around to get confused with.

Think your right. But it is a rivalry game.

Everyone don't be too quick to count Manual out. I think the Rams will be able to slow Male's rushing game down, especially between the tackles. Male's RB's are quick but they are not powerful----not a knock just my opinion. I don't think Manual's backs are as good (especially absent Nero) but they are serviceable. Both teams have very good QB's. Manual's is the better runner and Male's the better passer. I really think Manual's defense is equal to Male's. Manual has athletes on D as does Male, however, Manual's secondary is taller and rangier than Male's, and probably just as fast. Manual may have the better field goal kicker. I do think Male is the better team but not by much. I'll be very surprised if Male wins by more than 10-14 points. In large part I am basing my assessment on the games the last two weeks when Manual and Male played Trinity.

A TON of distractions this week. The Bulldogs have beaten X and T and have to play a Manual team that lost to both. These teams are closer than some want to think.

 

Manual is on a streak against their rival. I believe these seniors have never lost to Male in varsity football. That is huge and deserving of respect. Imagine the X fans feeling the heat from consecutive defeats. The streak hurts Manual more than Male. H has been trying to put together a complete game and I think this one fits the bill. M will keep it close in the first half, then H starts clicking. It will start with defense and end with defense. Both squads have proven their excellent play. Too many weapons for M to game plan for...

 

I've seen both teams. Male will give up a dumb play, and then torch Manual deep.l;

Manual lost to both X and T last year, and still pulled the upset. This is rivalry game, and anything can happen, as fans of X and T can attest. So don't be surprised if Manual doesn't pull another stunner.

Understand that Trinity came back strong in 2nd half by exclusively running the Wildcat with wings on both rt. and left. Male never solved it and won by gambling on final 2 point conversion by bringing the house and finally stopped Trinity on the two. Coaching friend noted this is exactly what Manuel likes to run. Give Coach Wolfe a week to solve the problem and Male should win handily. Male by 17.

That's fair to say but they don't have Nero this year.
