I can not see CC scoring 5 TDs against this HHS defense. The starting D has a chip on their shoulders.

Birds will take care of business this week. Defense will be all fired up. Harris & Hayes will be running thru guys this Friday. Drew & receiving corp will be dropping bombs all night. Final score will not matter as long as Birds are on top. Yes, this is a Rivalry Game!!!:ylsuper::ylsuper:

Blueboys will bring their A game to this contest and looking for Birds to also bring. This will be an EPIC battle again....

You have correctly stated the case. You have to have athletes across your whole defense, especially up front. Highlands has to have off night throwing. Your offense better be top of its game to stop HHS defense. It would have to the right night.

Boyle or Lex. Cath. would be challenging games. The defense will be game changer come November. They were very impressive in Cov. Cath. My understanding of the playoff system is that HHS would be at home until semifinals.

I think you are missing the point. Every teams ultimate goal at the beginning of the season is to win state. You are aiming higher with each game you play and learn from what you did right and correcting what you did wrong. Teams need to build on their success and their failures from each week. Highlands goal each year is to take State. They have been successful for the last 6 years and are off to good start for #7! Just sayin:dancingpa

It was my understanding that they both had an open date on their schedule to fill for last year. HHS was filling the spot that either Dixie or Ryle dropped out. Not sure who Scott County had dropped from their agreement. It was only for last year. Would like to see on a regular basis.

Glad to see that NCC has a Freshman squad this year. Their middle school team is developing some nice players.

Turf is one the best investment a school can make. It opens up complex to multiple use from football, soccer, and/or youth leagues. It is a beautiful thing when you do not have to worry about muddy conditions and tearing up of field.:clap:
