It sounds like Highlands has a lot of quality players returning for next season. I suppose the biggest question mark will be how the program handles the loss of quarterback McCoy to graduation. McCoy was a tremendous player, and in several games this past year (most notably the CovCath games) he seemed to be the difference-maker. Highlands is fortunate to have a guy like Houliston in the wings, and hopefully it will be a smooth transition from McCoy to Houliston (or whoever is starting QB).

The schedule looks interesting so far, and while it's not yet completed, it looks to be an upgrade from the last couple of years.

Go 'Birds!

I don't think the Birds will miss a beat. Next years senior class is one of the best to ever grace the halls of Highlands. The team seems to have it all with size and speed. I wonder if we will see Hoge move to wr or be the backup to Houliston at qb? It will definately be a fun year to watch.. Stairway to Seven!!!!:dancingpa

What position(s) did Hoge play last year?

I think Hoge will play receiver and backup quarterback, just like McCoy did when he was a junior. They will have a very crowded wide receiver field.

Very crowded. Add 6'03" Jake Whitford to the mix also.

Show up.

If you mean Jake, he is. Along with 3 other new Soph/Juniors to be and at least 1 Junior/Senior to be. And all were pretty good players as Frosh but took year off. Should be nice adds.

Depth will not be a problem for HHS this year. Def Line has 30+ players as of now at workouts. Receivers aplenty. I'm guessing there will be some position changes as there already has been some. Will be interesting when spring ball comes around and we can see the changes in person.

Who might the new additions be? Are there any transfers?

No transfers. Just kids that played in the past that have come out again. Lets just see if they stick with it.

Do you mean none of the recruits showed up? I guess that won't be until Summer.
