Coach Mueller has been compared to Bill Nye the science guy. I think he also teaches AP Calculus when he isn't teaching AP Physics.

Not a whole lot of offseason Highlands chatter on BGP, compared to previous years. Any new thoughts on who could emerge as break-out players for HHS this year? The schedule is very different this year, including playing a team from Florida and multiple teams from WKY. Let's hear some thoughts from the HHS faithful about the 'Birds in 2013!

It's all top secret this year!!! I think it's just the normal conditioning and workout stuff going on from what I've seen. You know the stuff that Urban Meyer said was "the best he's ever seen!" Anyway, I think it's just tough to assume anything or generate any conversation over the kind of things they are currently doing.

I think some of the peeps that used to chime in on here no longer have kids in the program? Also, not sure exactly what you want to hear about. There are some kids involved with track and baseball and the others are working on getting their bodies in shape for the upcoming season. Spring football came and went with no incidents.

Players are getting stronger and faster. Weight and locker rooms are getting older and dingier. Not much else at the moment.

I think you are probably right about some BGP'ers no longer having kids on the team. I seem to recall there being a few posts about the upcoming Highlands season every week at this time of year. There was very little posted about HHS spring football when it was going on, and it made me nervous that no one was posting anything. I am glad (and reassured) to hear that spring football came and went without incident.

Or maybe there's a gag order been put on HHS fans by the powers that be.

Has it been determined who Highlands will play in the summer 7 on 7 competitions? When will these begin?
