As I just posted in other thread. McKee wants a state championship. If scheduling X, T, H all in one season would make that happen I bet he would do it. I think he is beyond just collecting W's.

Who's bigger then T, X, and H? I guess he could have scheduled arguably the second best team in the state - Bowling Green. Scott County is playing PRP and Madison Central (who looks to be pretty good this year). They have district games with Henry Clay and Bryan Station.

T and Scott County used to scrimmage preseason but not recently.

He's close enough to Cincy he could and probably should try to schedule one of those teams. They played Webster Co two years ago. No reason what so ever a 6A team should be playing Webster Co.

I would question any 6A coach that schedules Webster Co. (see your Corbin, Why? thread). I will give him credit for HHS last year and PRP this year. That is definitely a step in the right direction. I also don't blame him for not trying to schedule X or T. I don't think it's smart for any 6A to play either if they don't have to. It will be hard enough to beat those guys playing them once much less twice. But there are plenty of out of state powers for Scott Co to play.

I'll give you credit for Scott County not "scheduling" T and X. But, Coach McKee it trying to build his program, would you agree with that? He's on the building road and has scheduled teams that he doesn't necessary think are "givemes", would you agree with that?

Not sure if I would say he ducked anyone, but I know he as the AD throws a ton of money towards small losing programs to come play the cards. Think of that what you will, but as you look back at his over wins and losses take a look at some of those out of district opponents over the years.

I had forgotten that Scott County played Harrison County in back to back years at home.

I think McKee is building a good program and is scheduling teams that should be competitive especially this year. PRP last years runner-up 6A, John Harden good 5A school normally. As of late the weakest teams have come from the Lexington area. Look for SC to start scheduling some out of state schools. I dont think he will next year but with-in the next 3 years. McKee has learned alot and is building a good program and not just playing year to year with 20 or so players. He is now platooning which just happened last year and is also now platooning in Frosh. football team. His day will come when he will successfuly compete with any team, and watching them now that day is getting closer and closer. Yoou need to give credit where credit is due. Scott Coounty before he came had a tough time fielding a team.
