  1. The article I read said that the opposing team's AD arrived late for the game and told the head coach at halftime to ask the officials. At that point the officials had no choice.
  2. I guess the day off from practice on Wednesday for Cooper worked.
  3. I like Alan Mullins. I think it may be time to take a step away from coaching for his own good.
  4. It looks like their best win was against a 13-17 Williamstown . Quite a few 10-run losses.
  5. The fact that most see Highlands as the 2nd best team and that some think Dayton can hang with them or beat them tells you all you need to know about the 36th.
  6. I think it will come down to Prewitt and Stenzel.
  7. The good news for Conner is that they're improving. The program is heading in the right direction.
  8. Dixie's Josh Fox is supposed to be pretty strong.
  9. Someone's relative didn't make the CJ all-state team.
  10. Tobler and Hayden are solid. They play hard and play pretty good defense. Offensively, they're OK. You can't run an offense through them. They are going to score off of offensive rebounds and getting dishes from the two guards. Between the two Tobler seems to have a better offensive game.
  11. Nice tournament so far for Campbell. 33 followed by 28.
  12. Game played at Conner. Close throughout. Late basket by Huff followed by a steal and a layup by Huff.
  13. Liked the way the Huff kid played. Started off rough but then calmed down a bit and played very well. He can be good if he doesn't force action. Nice stroke. Can really get to the lane. Boone's bench sure is short.
  14. Up and down game for Conner. Strong effort overall by Boone. Boone went up by about 20 in the first half and Conner got it back down to around 12 or 14 at half. Conner came out in the 3rd and made a nice run and probably got it down to around 6 or 7. They kept it at around 9 or 10 until late fouls turned a 10 point game into a 18 point victory. Boone really shoots FTs well. I'll be curious to hear how many they missed. Stanley played well. Downs played well. Conner really did a nice job on McQueary. Played him very physically. Bodied him up a lot. Barker had him much of the night and Carter Byrns guarded him as well. Both did well. Boone's 3 guard offense is tough to defend and if the Palmer kid is also hitting 3s you're in trouble. Conner's starting point guard played about 2 minutes and then sat the rest of the game. I don't think he was hurt. Looked rather disinterested sitting at the end of the bench kicked back in his chair. That really hurt Conner as their #2 point guard really struggled. I bet Conner's shooting percentage wasn't too bad. They just couldn't get shots. I would think the freshman Watts will get more time as the year goes on. Looks like a point guard.
  15. St X outgained Trinity's running back by 11 yards.
  16. I like Jac Collinsworth. He broke off a few routes tonight on scrambles by Towles to make himself available. Towles sure does run hard.
  17. Am I correct that Conner was down 24-23 in the 4th and scored a TD? If so, why didn't they go for 2 to go up by 7 instead of kicking the extra point that only put them up by 6. That one point was critical.
  18. I agree, History. I think Tiberi has the highest ceiling of the 3 mentioned.
  19. That's her. Really cool for her to get a nice scholarship.
  20. Was Purdon the player that ended up at NKU? If so, I don't remember him being a PG. I think he was the designated shooter from the 2 position. Wasn't a very good ball-handler.
