Thoughts on Coach Stamm's girls and if they can win the 9th over Boone, Ryle and co.?

Based on their record and who they've played, I'd say they at least have a shot. The 2 teams they lost to ( Campbell Co., Grayson Co.) are contenders in their respective regions, plus they have several quality wins. Of course, we'll know more when they play the teams you mentioned.

Their biggest challenge may be getting out of the 33rd. A very good team from the 33rd will not be competing in the 9th. I do think they have a legitimate shot to play in Bowling Green should they make it out of the 33rd. I believe the 33rd is being hosted by Conner which should only increase their chances. They have some nice size, good guards, can knock down threes, play good D and they are well coached. Looking forward to their games with Boone & Ryle to get a better feel on how they stack up.

Top three by a somewhat wide margin in my opinion are Boone, Ryle and Notre Dame. Boone needs to keep Moss healthy because she is the offense. Ryle has a well rounded team but pretty reliant on Crittenden and Notre Dame has a vast array of go to players.

 

Conner has been impressive but currently in that 4th slot with only a slight edge over NCC and Highlands. All three of these teams have ground to make up on the top three but it is early and all three have excellent coaches with quality young players who grow every game.

 

It should be a good Regional tourney and I wish every team health and success as they pursue their goals.

If Boone, Ryle and Notre Dame get redictricted to the 8th Region theyd have a better chance. It will be very tough to just get out of that District

People said no chance for Conner at the beginning of the year too...it seems to me they like being the underdog so if you want to keep saving no chance so be it.

As you know 12willy I am a fan too. Conner has the bigs dogs of the Region coming up so it will be fun to see how it goes. Very impressive what Coach Stamm has accomplished.

Yes, you have been a great supporter of the program and NKY high school sports.

The Big games are coming up and these young women will be tested. ND, Ryle and

Boone are all very good teams/programs.

 

It starts at Highlands tomorrow, another good 9th region team.
