Nice feel good story this year but let's be realistic. With Moss and Crittendon leading Boone and Ryle respectfully, Conner's chances of getting out of the district this year are slim and none. The future looks bright in Hebron though.

The answer is - Negative Ghostrider - the pattern is full. Give us a reason to think it can happen. Losing to Boone, SK, Ryle, Highlands doesn't help. Still have to face NDA and NCC. Upset both of those and we'll think about it. Lose to both and they hardly feel like 9th region champ material now do they.

Also against Ryle they were winning at half, down by two after three Quarters, and then Ryle had a run in the 4th to win it. Not to mention that game was at Ryle. Boone took it to Conner this past game no doubt, however also very silly to decide that shows that no way it can happen. Also remember the district is at Conner, which Conner is very good at home. So no doubt Ryle and Boone are favorites and should be, but no reason to act like it is impossible. Especially if they see Ryle in the first round.

Not saying you will be wrong, obviously there is a much better chance of you being right than wrong. However it also is and will be very unwise of you to act like there is no chance of it happening. Conner is a talented enough team to be able to pull off that upset. We always see that huge upset sometimes in some sport every few years in the 9th region. A team with talent but just so happens to play in a district with one of the top teams. Conner obviously does not have the talent like Ryle or Boone, since both teams have top division one players on their team. However Conner has the talent to be a dangerous team to them, especially Ryle IMO if the othe players around their star player have an off night shooting.

This team is capable of pulling off multiple upsets as they did at their holiday tourney. If they can find a way to capture that intensity then I still believe they can challenge. Comes down basically to one game and I believe coach Stamm will have a game plan but the girls will need to execute. When they were playing at their best the ora was one of coaches and players believing in each other. I think they need to find that and they can beat some good teams. I wish the Lady Cougars and all the region 9 teams the best of luck. I have enjoy watching all these teams play and I think girls basketball in NKY is as good as any area in the state!

I am not arguing the fact that most will pick Ryle and Boone to come out of the district, and they should. What I am saying is people should not act like their is no chance. It will be Conner and Ryle playing in the first round. Conner will have the confidence that they can play with them after playing with them that first game. Conner is a team who shoots a lot of three's, and with it being at home if they can get hot. Then that is a dangerous team, the 3 ball is the ultimate equalizer. Crittenden is going to get hers, however if the other players have an off night shooting then it is very possible. Ryle is definitely favorite, however an upset would not be impossible here.

 

They only have to win one game to get out of the district. Which if they do that, then Ryle is out and not in the region. Then in the region tournament, Conner would be on the opposite side of the bracket of Boone, which that is guarnteed. Then there is also a chance Notre Dame could be on the other side of the bracket too. Which would leave teams such as St. Henry, NCC, Highlands with Conner and all those teams are teams Conner has beat. So the toughest part for Conner is getting out of the district, however it is not impossible. Then if they could get out of the district then it could very well set up for them to have a path to the finals where anything is possible at that point.

Yes, both Ryle and Boone are losing a lot next season. Ryle is loaded with Seniors.
