I believe in the Lady Cougars! Last year the doubters said they had no talent and would

take years to rebuild. They are 13 and 2, have quality wins and most ironically in this

I have seen Conner make more threes in one game this year then any other team, let's wish em luck and see how they do. Regardless they have been a success and should be proud.

I would give the numbers to you but I am afraid you might take your winnings and move back to Daisy lane and reopen the Busy Bee.

 

Conner has always had a nice team and this yr should be no different. Girls basketball in general has improved leaps and bounds with the incredible female athletes that are surfacing each yr. The size, muscle, speed has probably been more noticeable in the last 5 yrs then ever before. These girls train like the guys and some of them could hold their own with the guys.

 

I am not a big fan at predicting Girls sports because of significant other issues, bad hair days, reds being in town, etc, etc. Hey its the nature of the beauty and it is what it is.

 

With that all said, Conner could win the 9th just as easy as ND, BC and others. There is no one runaway team any yr imo and this wont be the yr there is either, deoebds on who shows up ready to play, whether you have superior talent or just good talent, the team that is happy on that night can surprise the best. JMO

The BGP Jinx is alive. Highlands took down Conner last night.

People said no chance for Conner at the beginning of the year too...it seems to me they like being the underdog so if you want to keep saving no chance so be it.

 

A 14 point loss last night to a banged up Highlands team does not inspire confidence. I'll stand by my original "no" answer. You take Conner. I'll take the field. I like my chances.

If they play like they did in their tournament they could possibly have a chance, but if they play the way they did last night against Highlands, no way. Either way it would definitely be a long shot, IMO.

Conner was without one of their starters also and when the foul shooting is 33-13 and Highlands is playing with 6 players but the refs "didn't see it" that is definitely a tough place to win but keep betting against them we will just have to watch what happens

Conner plays at Ryle on Friday. That should be a good game and is a very important game for seeding purposes within the district. This game should give us some additional indication if Conner can win the region. Will Conner have all their starters back?

HaHaHaHaHaHa.......You know what!!!!!? were you even at this game? You know better then me that when teams go after Highlands (dont care what sport it is) they bring their A game and play with intensity and determination. I saw that last night from the Conner girls, they worked their butts off but they also got their butts kicked on the boards not the foul line. The shots from the foul line was a direct result of getting beat on the boards and being a step slow imo.

Highlands played very well last night and ran the floor extremly well.

Ohh gotcha. Still bad, but a little better. Guess I really can't comment on it, I wasn't there. Conner beat Highlands at home and Highlands beat Conner on their court - make what you want of it.
