  1. If we take out the two interceptions Conner's defense still gave up 49 points. How can Conner not have a comparable defense to the other Boone schools? Aren't the kids coming from the same pee wee league? How many years has it been since Conner had a solid defense? You score 56 and lose?
  2. I am pretty sure Gallatin had a great record last year and then got handled by a team from Northern KY in the playoffs.
  3. No they are not. I should have referenced the KY portion of the schedule. The LaSalle game is the only game that prepped them for Highlands.
  4. That will show well on film to Urban.
  5. People in Northern KY do not realize that the level of play in Columbus is much higher than here. DeSales is a strong team by Northern KY standards. This was a good win for Ryle.
  6. I can't wait for this one. The Colonels schedule so far has been lackluster so we really do not know much about them other than they have a very good QB. What time should I plan on getting to Ft Thomas to get a parking spot? Wednesday?
  7. Life is good when you score 50 and people are debating how good the offense is.
  8. Would Dixie let Conner keep the gate and concessions? If not, then there's y our answer.
  9. It's ironic that Conner won with defense.
  10. Nice showing by the Colonel D. Hard to tell if they're really good or is the offense of NKY teams that bad? I guess we will answer that in two weeks. Bir to Bir was fun.
  11. Your quarterback puts up 400 yards of total offense. Your stud all-around receiver running back gets off. You score 31. You LOSE? You give up 26 in one half to a team with a new offense who just came off of a 54 point drubbing. Your D can't get off of the field against the Rebels. You give up 21 against a team trying to figure out how to win and who their qb is. When is the last time Conner had a solid defense? Ryle does. Boone does. Cooper does. What is it about Hebron?
  12. "not that tuff" says the guy who watched his team give up 67 ?
  13. This game will give us a much better idea if the Colonels can compete with Highlands. The first two games haven't really told us anything.
  14. I got back in town in time last night to check this game out on Fox. This quote from another site pretty much sums up Ryle's approach. "According to Pick, the Ryle coach is telling his kids “look, we’re not getting blown out here…..”. Is it me, or have we entered the Twilight Zone."
  15. Will the Bluebirds throw less this year? Someone mentioned a big line. Will they be more of a running team like a few years ago when they had #46 at the QB ?
  16. Is the Brilz kid from Beechwood on this team?
  17. Your best guess as to the chances there are high school football games played under lights in 2012 is?
  18. From what I'm told was in the email that was referenced previously Coach Meyerhoff wasn't happy with his senior class. Some of this senior class had good results in youth leagues coming up that were coached by current Beechwood parents. Should I do the math and think that the unhappy parents who complained to the school were the ones that coached the youth teams and blamed Coach for the success that didn't happen this year?
  19. Was this move driven by family or the AAU coach?
  20. The "Go Cards" moniker made the "Father of #23" unnecessary.
