Boone completely dominated the 1st quarter with the QB running play after QB running play and while Boone never scored, BC kept CovCath off the field and limited CovCath to just 6 plays.

CovCath starting passing the ball and moved the ball rather easily in the air against Boone and the CovCath "D" pretty much shut down the Boone offense.

The pass plays from Bir to Egbers and Summe were outstanding. Summe just leaped over the BC defender and litterally stole the ball away from him and walked into the end zone while Egbers was up against a LB and it was no question that Egerbs would take it to the house.

The only question as CovCath played subs throughout the rest of the quarter was, would the CovCath "D" be able to garnish their third straight shutout against Kentucky opponents, which of course they did.

Yes the bad snap over the QB head kept Boone from cashing in the 1st quarter and took the ball from a 3rd and 6 yards to go from the 11 to a 4th and 29 yard to go from the 35.

 

Biggest play against Boone County and in that play they lost #32 to a twisted ankle... Hope the young man is indeed okay!

Casey Boston was the injured player. Boone has enormous talent. Moss, Diaw, Boston, Floyd and Marshall. That is an incredible stable of athletes. It is all meaningless in today's game if you do not have a commitment to a down field passing game. I feel for the kids and parents at Boone because this program has so little to show for such a stable of talent.

Is Sam Dressman injured?

Been a pretty good year so far for the CovCath Defense:

 

6A Campbell County 0 points allowed and Total offense of 96 yards allowed

 

6A Dixie Heights 0 points allowed and Total offense of 24 yards allowed

 

Cincinnati La Salle scored 27 points against CovCath last Friday night but only 6 of those points were scored against the Defense of CovCath.

Total offense of 215 yards

 

6A Boone County 0 points allowed and total offense of 177 yards allowed.

 

So in four games, CovCath defense has only allowed only 6 points and a total of 512 yards of offense or 129 yards of total offense per game!

Hate to hear that. I figured a shutout but when Boone loses top two players, there was little doubt. Wonder how many HHS can score against Cov Cath.

Nice showing by the Colonel D. Hard to tell if they're really good or is the offense of NKY teams that bad? I guess we will answer that in two weeks.
