Cooper 29 Holmes 0

Featured Replies

First play of the game was an 80 yard TD from Morris to Morgan.

A huge night by one of the most underrated players in NKY, "Lawrence" Taylor Centers. Holmes didn't double team him on the line and he was in the backfield making tackles for loss nearly every play. The rest of the D-Line played really well also. Morgan was step for step with Peterson and shut him down, though the QB had little time to let the play develop.

AJ Collins needs to take next week off and heal as he is beat up pretty bad. He sucked it up and had nice yardage and at least one TD but the Campbell County game was a rough one physically for him.

Tyler Morris had nice throws and runs as well.

Cooper 5-0 with another shutout and I believe they have Scott next week in the first week of District play.

That Cooper defense is impressive. Their whole defensive line is very good, very quick.

Holmes didn't seem like the same team I saw a few weeks ago.

Aaron Morgan is turning into a top NKY player.

He was our Nkysports.com player of the game last week. He is indeed a very talented athlete. Goes both ways and plays hard on both sides of the ball.

Last week there was a play where a CC receiver shoved him and talked trash to him after a play. Morgan kept his mouth shut and next two plays absolutely destroyed the ball carrier.

Also a great kid. Very well spoken.

Coopers D was at there best . I dont think Holmes had more than 4-5 first downs the whole night!

Morgan is a great kid and I love seeing him have the year he's having. Unfortunatly that is one of Cooper's problems and may haunt them down the road. Cooper's QB focuses too much on Morgan and Morgan doesn't have the best hands, too many drops each game. They need to look at their other recieving threats but Morris focuses on Morgan because of his speed too much while other recievers are open all over the field.

Aj Collins is the heart and soul of that team and they will go as far as he can take them. Hope he stays healthy the rest of the way.

Another nice win by the Jags. Congrats to Coach Borchers and to his team.

All I know is the TEAM is 5-0 and the Morgan I saw had a couple of drops this past game, like a couple of other receivers, but can't recall him dropping passes EVERY game not to mention I don't think the kid comes off the field very much as he is typically assigned to the other teams best receiver. Keep rolling Jags cuz whatever Coach Borchers has you doing right now is working and you know the old addage "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
