CCH travels to the west side of town to play a young LaSalle team.

 

No question CCH fares better than they have the last two years against LS.

 

Very young. I think they are now playing 3 frosh including a QB (unless the older kid is back from injury).

 

LaSalle gave up 46 this past weekend to Lakota West. Scored 35. Good test for the CCH D to see where they stand.

I think this year is one of very few years where Cov Cath has the ability to pull out a win against the GCL team on their schedule. Cov Cath's defense is one of the most capable I've seen in years. Their quarterback is an obvious strength, and the receivers have turned out to be (in practice and in the last two weeks' performances) as great as we could have hoped an all-new receiver corps would be. The big question mark is still the offensive line and the running game. The pass block is there, but can they block for the run enough to force LaSalle's linebackers to stay up where they have to be to respect the run? The guys up front on the offense make or break the game this week.

I have seen these two teams play each other the past two year's and LaSalle had CovCaths number both times. Tough place to win at LaSalle and a very nice complex and great concession stand. Wish CovCath the best. JD

Its going to be a tough game. The Lanceres gave away a victory to West at nippert but dang their frosh qb looks good

I'm expecting a CovCath victory if what they are saying about LaSalle is true being down this year. Hopefully my expectations aren't too high.

Good luck to CovCath. We don't want LaSalle stealing a spot come playoff time from a more worthy Division 1 team in Cincinnati. I'll be pulling for the Colonels.
