Jordan-Foxmug-172x300.jpgDixie Heights High School junior-to-be point guard Jordan Fox is playing AAU ball with a Hoop Dreams-Maxey team that has as many as seven Division I prospects.

The 6-foot-1 Fox runs the show and helped the team win the State AAU title in the 16U division last weekend.

“I really like playing with all of these guys,” Fix said. “I love to get everybody involved and these guys are great.

“It’s my job to get my teammates involved in the game.”

Fox, who averaged 7.6 points and 5.2 assists a game as a sophomore for the Colonels, said he’s trying to “make my all-around game better.”

“I need to get better at defense,” Fox said. “More consistent defense. I take possessions off and have to get better at that. It’s what college is all about – defense.”

Fox said he has one scholarship offer – Miami (Ohio) – at this point but is also hearing from Eastern Kentucky and Northern Kentucky.

“(Miami) saw me play in Akron and said they loved the way I played,” Fox said.

Fwiw - I've heard from a couple of sources that Mr Fox will not be at Dixie next year.

Last I've heard is that he recently told Coach Chev he was staying. He'll be one of the better players in NKY over the next two seasons.

Yeah I've heard it ping ponging back and forth for a while now, but have a feeling that the latest I've heard is accurate.

Miami(O) offered the 2014 PG from Lakota West today.

Now I'm confused. Is he not from Dixie Heights anymore or did he come to Dixie Heights from Lakota West?

Jordan Fox , as far as I know, still attends Dixie and got an offer a while back.

Another 2014 PG from Lakota West also got an offer. Just interesting to me. Would they take both?

Is that the Boykins kid from LW?

I like Fox as he has Great control and excellent court awareness. He just needs to be more aggressive attacking IMO. I have only seen a few of his games though.

No. Boykins is a 2. It's the PG named Williams.

Potentially could take both but multiple offers to players that play the same position could be schools way of leveraging offers to get a commitment.

Imagine that, another transfer in the state of KY! I'm sure it will be all legit and the KHSAA will give him it's blessing. This is a big blow to Dixie. They have no chance of winning the 9th.

Will Hatton go the Prep School route Now that the talent is being depleted?
