I'm not bashing CC's requirements. I was asking because I was aware of their stipulations which are a bit more strict than other faith based schools.

Did the other 2 candidates accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior and do they attend church regularly as is required? Just wondering why 2 more qualified candidates with experience passed on the job. I know CC is very rigid in their requirements of faith.

Mr. Cat works games at his alma mater and his kids' alma maters. Everyone has graduated and is long removed from their respective schools. It hasn't been a problem in all the years he has ref'd or umpired so I don't see anything changing. None of the coaches or ADs seem to have a problem with him and he knows most, if not all of them.

I call it not being able to find anyone else willing to take the job and Dale Brown being available for the job at crunch time.

Can't wait to see what Scott transfer Lexi Stapleton brings to Campbell County this year!

There have been 19 coaches in 100 years and yes, not all have been Highlands guys. Other than Mueller and Weinrich, Roger Walz and Homer Rice are graduates. I'm not sure of Bill Herrmann but I know his boys went and played there while he coached. Duffy is a no; not sure about Eicher. The rest are way before my time to know anything about them.

Entertaining game to say the least. Newport was in this game until the 4th Q and looked to be a good matchup for the Mustangs. Derek McCormick went down in the 1st with an ankle injury of some sort. Hope he recovers quickly from whatever it was! That Bezold kid is a beast on offense and defense! Congrats to the Mustangs on their win and good luck to the Wildcats going forward!
