1A Bishop Brossart vs Bellevue - Moved To Thursday Night

Due to predictions of inclement/severe weather on Friday, the Bishop Brossart vs Bellevue, Class 1A independent game scheduled for 7pm at Gilligan Stadium in Bellevue has been moved to Thursday night at the same time.

If NewCath/Campbell Co game doesn't get moved to Thursday, I'll make the 90 second walk over to Gilligan Stadium to watch this one.

Probably a good idea to move it since Bellevue's field can get real swampy real fast and no one wants to see what should be a high scoring game to turn into a mudfest.

Two years ago we were set to play on a Friday night with scattered thunderstorms predicted. After a well-over-an-hour delay in a relentless downpour, the game was moved to Saturday morning where the Mustangs prevailed 28-26.

There was nothing scattered about that thunderstorm. It parked itself over Gilligan Stadium and refused to move. I've never seen water run down the street like that ever.

Unless one team got beat up more than the other last week it should not matter. Both small schools and will be hurt if a stud or two miss an extra day to recover.
