  1. Way to go Tigers....tougher to win than a football crown that is for certain.
  2. Nice tournament and well run. Congratulations to the winning Beechwood Tigers-couldn't have said that a few years ago for sure. Congrats also to a tough Bath County Squad and to Holmes and Pendleton County. Beautiful day for softball (wish every day was like this one) and again great job Pendleton County on putting on a great tourney for a great cause and to the Beechwood Tigers of Coach Fields for bringing home the hardware. Great job Hannah Wheat, Sierra Whitfield, Claudia Carr, Stacy Rengering, Katherine Kremer, Casey Grant, Lili (sp) Sergeant, Raquel Barry, Amy Lee, and all the players and coaches!!
  3. I think Combs is rounding into the ace...plus their defense keeps Suchanek at SS, and hot hitting Hamilton in the game. Go Tigers!
  4. So then what is the problem? I would rather be identified by my true heritage as ruler of the planet, but nobody is going to call me that. Much ado about nothing. Plus do you know that native americans can attend any college in the country free of charge because of their heritage.....what about eskimos?
  5. Correct-but the question was posed was she doing anything illegal, and she was doing two things illegally- drinking under age 21 and then driving after having alcohol to drink. A shame that she is dead, but she made huge mistakes which our society just wants to gloss over. If we want the drinking age to be 10 years old fine, but let's not just dismiss that part of the narrative, and say what a great kid she was and never did anything wrong. I can think of two things that night she did wrong. Shouldn't have cost her her life, but who knows maybe she would have crashed down the road and killed three people. Actions have consequences on all sides of the ledger.
  6. Was she drinking under age? Then that is criminal activity.
  7. I dig Andre Dawson, Ellis Valentine, Ryne Sandberg, Bob Horner, Tim Raines, Nolan Ryan, Willie Stargell, Roberto Clemente, Ferguson Jenkins, Pete Rose, Frank Robinson, Tito Fuentes, Greg Maddux, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Mark Belanger, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, Al Downing, Dave Henderson, Robin Yount, Vada Pinson, Bobby Bonds, Ron Gant, Dick Allen, Craig Biggio, Rick Wise, Ken Griffey, Jr., Rick Reuschel, Lee Smith, Eric Davis, Jose Canseco, Ryan Braun, Albert Pujols, Willie McCovey, Mariano Rivera, Omar Vizquel, Carney Lansford, Bobby Grich, Felix Milan, and my all time favorite Dave Concepcion.
  8. Highly doubtful, but for 5 million a year, I'd let it make me look like a fool 162 games a year.
  9. Maybe no nickname-then nobody could ever be offended. Except for that screwy D.C. part....
  10. And at the risk of being negative, no way is Bellevue #11. Several teams listed after the Tigers are superior.
  11. Admit that this white house is the biggest fraud ever....and that they must have a different definition of "transparency" than the one that appears in the dictionary. That we as a country are now more concerned with what Kim K. and Kanye wear, and what Donald Sterling says, than we are about the preservation of our Republic.
  12. Is he a pitcher? Better stated, will he pitch at Xavier?
  13. Okay so please tell us what scholarship offers she garners from having attended the major AAU basketball tourney this weekend. Now they have seen her play, right?
  14. Just curious and not meant as a knock on either the coach of Bracken County or any player....why is it that some softball teams pitch their #1 over and over again-all season long-while others have a couple of pitchers work-usually the #1 will go about 75% of the time? Just interested in responses...
  15. Agree totally especially since Moeller is the defending Ohio Division 1 champions and ranked among the best teams nationally. No dog in the fight but I would give kudos to the pitcher and the Raiders this effort. Too many fall in love with the power arms. Fastball is the easiest pitch to time and hit.
  16. I understand what RCC is saying. I used to fight this too my man, but it really isn't anything to get that worked up about. The truth is if a 9th Region A team ever won the big tournament down state-the one in June-they wouldn't talk about the A so much. Truthfully in softball the talk is tame compared to basketball, but those schools deep down know the facts as they are. Let them have their couple of weeks of fun. Kind of like when a few upsets happen in the mens NCAA basketball tournament. It is fun for a while, but in the end, a big school from a power conference always wins it all.
