  1. I agree that varsity is an earned position but not many Freshmen or Soph's for that matter have the chance to start varsity not to mention excel. Start the award and recognize those kids excelling in those roles.
  2. Most are not playing JV. The only soph starter playing JV on Saturday morning is #15 Avery Wood. He started Friday night at TE and played QB and LB Saturday. They're are a couple of other Sophs playing JV who see limited time on Fridays.
  3. Let me second that. Quite a few of the Sophmore class came from the Red Devils. Winning five of the last seven NKYFL Superbowls and playing in six of them. So please let that arugement rest. This same group only lost two games last year...Highlands and Cov Cath. These same Sophs currenly have several starting spots on varisty and those playing JV are 2-1.
  4. This is truly a rebuilding year. I do sympathize with the upperclassmen and their parents but if you are not the best at your postion stand aside. Not playing the best player is only going to cause those kids to loose interest in this program and concentrate on other activities. I believe everyone knew that this year would go no where. Get the better younger players some time and experience.
  5. Campbell County will be fine in the next few years. They have 8 or 9 Soph's starting this year along with a new QB. That and a strong JV team will help turn the ship around.
  6. Who was QBing for the Camels?
  7. I'm going out on a limb and saying Oklahoma.
  8. My son was at the meeting and was very impressed with the energy and excitement shown.
  9. They do have a couple of other options at QB as well. JV starting QB Tyler Walsh had a solid year. The freshman QB ( i know he is only a sophmore) showed that he could run an offense in his first year of qb'ing. Either way I think the days of throwing the ball as much as they did the past couple of years are over.
  10. Tyler Walsh - CCHS. Amazing glove.
  11. Avery Wood a freshman at CCHS. Strong arm and a great knowledge of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't see some varsity time.
  12. HHS should be loaded. They have both speed and size.
  13. The middle school was the old high school. The place is an airport hanger. If I'm not mistaken last year's districts were held at the middle school as well.
  14. HHS wins going away. 42 - 12
  15. I was just trying to make a point that HHS scoring happened and it was the game. We would all like to have plays back and say if this wouldn't have happened or if this happened it would have changed the outcome of the game. I hope these two teams can meet again in the future. Truly one of the best games I've seen all year by two very talented teams.
  16. Really! They did score and continued to score the second half. Don't get me wrong CCH is a talented group but to put them in a pedistool over CCHS is crazy. Using your philosphy if Wood doesn't throw the interception (and I'm not criticizing ) on the goal line we would be talking about CCHS traveling north to HHS. You have a good program with some very talented players but don't over do it.
  17. Don't head to Vegas anytime soon.....Great game played by two equally talented team.
  18. What would be the reasoning behind your prediction? Just curious.
  19. Either way this should be a very exciting game. I'm glad to see that both schools were able to find a way to make this happen rather than decide on a flip of a coin.
  20. Coming from one of the CCHS freshman players....They play CovCath Monday at CCHS. Winner will play HHS Saturday for the championship.
  21. Some of those games were played mostly by second and third string. A win is a win
