A lot of importance being placed on a week two coaches poll. IMO this is preseason football. Sure it is nice to get a win on Friday Night but the real reason for these games is to get your team ready for District and playoffs spots. If SK feels this is what they need to do to get ready then so be it. As far as the schedule, 2 of the 3 teams they played are down severely this year so I will give them a pass on this. The point I am trying to make is who cares who is number one or two in week two of the season. The most important thing is winning the last game of the season! Now back to the show:popcorn:

Thanks for the insight. I haven't seen either team play yet this year. I was just going off of past history. This game and CC/Cooper game looks to be the game of the week in NKY. Looking forward to some great football.

I think this is the game that I attend this week since I no longer have a dog in any of the fights. IMO Newport was the most improved team from the first game to the season's end last year. Scott was very one dimensional last year (haven't seen them yet this year). I'll take Newport in a low scoring game. 14-12

I forgot about the huge Air Force/Navy Al-Qaida had. Don't think for a minute that if ISIS has the means to make a dirty bomb that they would not use it. Then what do we do? Do we use are nuclear arsenal? Do we send ground troops? Or do we stop them now before they are capable?

I will agree though that in the last nine years NCC has been competive but you would also have to admit that in the last 3 years the table has turned? Let's not forget that the Dictator that was in charge of Iraq had used WMDs on his own countrymen. This same Dictator stated in public that he would destroy the US if given the chance. We were not the only country (including the UN) that thought he had WMDs. We tried to do things by the book but Iraq would not allow the UN inspectors to do there jobs. The same people who are chanting the battle cry of no WMDs in Iraq are the same folks that say we knew Bin Laden was a threat and we did nothing about it. Laden was just in charge of an organization Hussein was the Dictator of a country. Do you honestly think he would not have done something by now if he was still in power? ISIS would not be in Iraq today if we would not have left the country. Before you say that we shouldn't have occupying forces in Iraq please take a look at Europe, Asia, and the globe for that matter.

I think he will see some time but will be the #2. He looked very good in the inter squad scrimmage last week. I'm sure he will get some snaps during this week's scrimmage as well.

I always tease Mrs. Tank that I am going to campaign for Mayor of A-town. Local politics has always interested me. I have struggled over the last few years about getting my teaching degree. Not a lot of money but giving back and the schedule would make it worth while. I have always regretted not joining the military when I was younger.

I've only seen him play in an inter squad scrimmage. He is a bit under sized but a freak of nature. He is powerful and has really good speed. Talking to my son and he states he is a beast in the weight room. I was told that several NFL teams have requested film and several more have been at practice.

If Dixie's Defense is anything close to last year I would be surprised if anyone puts up more than 2 TDs. 10-7 insert either team. This will be one of the best games of the season.

Move the game. It's called Friday Night Lights not Saturday wipe the sleep out of my eyes.
