  1. Thanks for the insight. I haven't seen either team play yet this year. I was just going off of past history. This game and CC/Cooper game looks to be the game of the week in NKY. Looking forward to some great football.
  2. I think this is the game that I attend this week since I no longer have a dog in any of the fights. IMO Newport was the most improved team from the first game to the season's end last year. Scott was very one dimensional last year (haven't seen them yet this year). I'll take Newport in a low scoring game. 14-12
  3. As I stated in your other post if you have to go back 9 years to make your point I believe that may be a stretch. I will agree though that in the last nine years NCC has been competive but you would also have to admit that in the last 3 years the table has turned? I do admire the passion you show for your program.
  4. I was the poster in the previous thread. Agreed if you go back the past 9 years NCC has been competive. You would have to agree though that in the past three years the trend as turned the other way.
  5. It's been a long off season and I can tell you have spent most of it gathering facts to support your claims. I have missed the insight and expertise that you put in your post. Let me save you some time. SK is the best. SK would beat HHS. SK has 22 D1 prospects. If I have missed any please feel free to add. So glad football season is back!
  6. As a Camel faithful I can only hope that the coaches and players are thinking along your lines.
  7. I can feel the confidence you have in your new coach from here. Moral victory, I'm not sure about. Will coach Lickert use this game to get better as a team. Absolutely.
  8. If Dixie's Defense is anything close to last year I would be surprised if anyone puts up more than 2 TDs. 10-7 insert either team. This will be one of the best games of the season.
  9. Move the game. It's called Friday Night Lights not Saturday wipe the sleep out of my eyes.
  10. SK shared a district title last year and lost in the 3rd round of playoffs. Two years ago battled CCHS and lost a close one in regular season but revenged a close playoff win in the 2nd round against the Camels. The year before that was a very down year and I can't recall how many wins and losses they had. The point I am trying to make is that 6A across the board is on the rise. CCHS, SK, and Dixie could beat each other on any given Friday. IMO that's not dominance. The last true dominant 6A that I can recall would be Ryle 4 or 5 seasons ago. Again just my opinion.
  11. I would agree that SK is on the rise but to claim them as the dominant 6A team in NKY is a stretch. To be honest 6A hasn't had a "dominant" team in some time. Take last year out of the equation all of the 6A teams have beaten up on each other. Sorry for thread jacking but wanted to voice my two cents.
  12. 7 Bishop Brossart 5 Cooper 3 Bellevue 2 Collins 1 Ashland Bellevue
  13. I predict that Ludlow, Newport, Bellevue, and Dayton all merge. The new improved "Green Wildtigers" will be the first team in the all new Super 7A conference. Dale will come out of retirement to coach and will roll off 7 in a row. Highland fans will vacate the streets of Ft. Thomas and flood the Riverfront with support. Several new apartment complexes and subdivisions will start construction ASAP to accomodate the influx of recruiting.
  14. Yeah. Lucky they won any games last year (insert sarcastic look). I hope you are right, I hope he is better which would make my beloved Camels better.
  15. The decision last year came down to the wire and I would expect the same this year. To predict a QB this early in the game would only be speculation. The coaching staff will make sure that they have the right kid in the spot. The last two QBs were not projected QBs at all. Durham came in part way through the season after playing TE and Defense. Wood was a utility player that was a two year starter at TE that answered the call last year. No matter who the QB will be the Camels will be fine.
  16. In the past they practiced the week of during the evening.
  17. If we are thinking of the same kid he also has a rocket for an arm. Needs to work on accuracy thuogh. You are dead on though. Another tough nose kid that wouldn't mind running around you or through you. Whichever he prefers.
  18. I would disagree. I can't remember the exact score but Camels put up 30 plus on SK.
  19. I'm the first to say that I hate comparing common opponents but in the spirity of UK Fan. I watched CCHS play SK and Dixie. Taking away two turnovers the Camels moved the ball very well against SK but could't stop the SK offense. Camels offense against Dixie struggled. No running room at all. They were able to move the ball via short pass and connected on a post route for a TD. The other TD was on Special Teams. Again I am the first to say every game is like a snowflake but I'm using the same arguement I have heard on this forum a hundred times.
  20. IMO opinion Dixie had the tougher D. I have stated before it is all about matchups. My opinion is only based of what I saw personally and talking to players that played both teams. Again just one man's opinion.
  21. Just a friendly tip from your old friend Frank the Tank. Before you post, think about the statement for at least 24 hours. If you still think that it's not a ploy just to be heard go ahead and post. Dixie will be the preseason favorite to win the NKY 6A. They had the best defense in NKY last year with most returning. They have the most seasoned QB, and they a healthy receiving core including the best TE in NKY.
  22. The Camels have two canidates that will fill the role nicely. I have faith that Coach has a plan and all will be well in Camelville.
