In the Campbell Co/NewCath prediction thread I mentioned...."They (NewCath) are going to take their "lumps" this go around against the likes of Cooper, Campbell Co., Simon Kenton, & Dixie, when in years past the Breds have had their way with them". I was asked "Who and When", by a poster, so I thought I'd throw this out there.

If that's what those on the hill think is have their way with them, then maybe they should look for different educational choices. 20-18 :idunno:

One of the more exciting games I've watched. PVS show. I can't remember the CCH receiver but he made one of the best clutch catches ever. Crazy catch.

OK,maybe "had their way with them was an overstatement", how's, "held their own" sound? Either way, not bad for a little 2A school.

The Breds gave that game away, and YES....that was a "sick" catch that kid made.

Michael Robinson I believe.

So the Breds are 0-2 against Cooper (including this years game)

and have given up a total of 62 points while scoring only 22 against Cooper.

Not what I would call the Breds "Having their way" with Cooper....just sayin ;)

One handed on the sideline falling backwards. I couldn't believe it. It was one of those plays that made me wish that Newport had instant replay.

Nope. Next year could/should be much better.

....an I stated in the other thread I should have left Cooper out of the equation, since they have only started playing them.

Sorry guys, but that is what wrong with the Kentucky Playoff system period. Why is a 2A team having to schedule 4 - 6A teams to start the season? The KSSAA needs to re-think the 6 Class system that they have. With 221 team, you do not need 6 Classes. It can be easily refigured to 3 or 4 classes, plus all games should count (like Ohio). It's one thing for playing one "big" game a year (Highlands-Elder, Cov. Cath - Moeller), but for a 2A team to be playing 4 above average 6A schools, is nutts. There has to be a better way. BTW, NCC will have new QB tomorrow, and Anderson will move to WR.

Who do you want to see NewCath play? No offense to the 1A schools around here, but they won't get NewCath ready for de Sales, Caldwell Co, Somereset, or any of the other teams that they'll meet later in the playoffs. The 2A schools are all on the schedule, there are no 3A teams, and until recently, Scott wasn't very good. That leaves you w/ Highlands, CovCath, Conner, and who they play now (w/ the exception of Boone). Ohio schools of like size can't risk the loss. Outside of travelling hours away for a game, this is the best option.
