Simon Kenton 43 Bishop Brossart 28 (Frosh)
I am guessing the big they are talking about is Kaitlyn Seiter - very athletic and a lot of upside. She has potential to develop. She is from Peter and Paul

Simon Kenton 43 Bishop Brossart 28 (Frosh)
yes - King Shannon Schultz not playing frosh

Lloyd 28 Bishop Brossart 0
Great win for the Juggs. The only thing I saw ugly for the Juggs was a lot of dropped balls. QB was making some nice throws going thru Juggs receivers hands. Other than that, Brossart had nice gameplan overall playing first game without Elbert. Inside the redzone two or three times and came away empty. If Elbert plays that game - it's definitely tighter..Congrats to Juggs and nice job Stangs rebounding after last week and all of the recent issues. Good luck to both

Bishop Brossart Rolls
correct - That St Mary team had balance and chemistry - no one player on that team stood out. They were very well coached. The "bigs" are going to Brossart and the guard to NC

Walton Verona at Bishop Brossart Predictions
Agreed. Brossart too banged up. Though the future looks promising for Brossart, the next two games will be difficult for them

Newport Central Catholic/Bishop Brossart Predictions
That is a ridiculous statement. The NC program is one of the premiere programs in the Commonwealth. Brossart is light years behind. Brossart has definitely made tremendous strides the last 3 years, but lets face it - Brossart has - ZERO- chance in this game - PERIOD. The program is only 5 years old. Why there is even a thread asking who will win this game is pretty ridiculous in itself. As for the arrogance statements - It's everywhere. Wake up. If not mistaken, I believe an NC parent was escorted out by Alexandria's finest during the NC/Brossart basketball game. I also believe an NC parent may have had some issues with the law for "keying" a middle school coaches car. So before speaking about atttude's of adults - some may need to look in the mirror - Brossart parents included, Not just NC. NC needs to put up their 50-60 and move on and I hope EVERYONE on both sides stay healthy.

Semaj spelled backwards is James - be interesting to know if he has a brother named James?

Bishop Brossart 2011
Coach Reinhart did a nice job with non district schedule setting themselves up to be competitive. They open with Middletown Christian followed by Caverna coming north then Dayton then Pendleton - all games they SHOULD be competitive in. Then the district foes followed by Walton then Scott to finish up year. If Brossart is going to pull off a win or two in district play - As with most football teams - they need to stay healthy - They are young and athletic - just not very deep. They do have some upperclassmen at key skilled positions returning - as long as they can stay healthy they potentially could make the Lloyd and or Newport game interesting. Home games this year will be played at Scott

Best High School Football
No need to jump in defensive mode. there was no bashing in below comments - none whatsoever- it's a great program - just a few facts is all. Did I say it was wrong?
-
Best High School Football
Correct. and also could be a valid question to some of the Highlands players also
-
Best High School Football
Yes - very tough to compare and contrast programs as different rules in different States - Highlands for example - has kids residing outside of the Ft Thomas zip code that can attend and play for the program where as in other States - that cannot be done. Where would a program like Highlands be today if that could not be done, but that is a topic for another thread. - But interesting to discuss and compare and would be neat to see a program like a Highlands play a team from different parts of the country

NKY frosh teams-
ABSOLUTELY - Look hard it's gotta be in there somewhere - the key phrase should have been "POTENTIAL".
-
NKY frosh teams-
I have been told Rieger and Burns will not sniff any frosh time. Both playing up. When you talk to Brossart faithful they are looking forward to watching this group and think this class is one of strongest if not the strongest freshman class they have ever had. They are deep / athletic and big. Will be interesting to see how that particular class grows and develops - a lot can change for these kids over next couple of years. so you never know - but they do have some talent.
-
NKY frosh teams-
There are an awful lot of talented Freshman throughout area. One's not mentioned that are worthy of mentioning: Schulte - NC / Rieger - Brossart / Buten - HHS / Burns - Brossart / Shannon - Brossart / Franzen - NC / Trentman - Brossart / Jennings - Brossart. All very nice nice players. Will be a lot of fun to watch how all of these kids grow and develop over next few years. Franzen and Shannon played football - so they'll have some catching up to do - especially Franzen. And that Conner group did have a nice 8th grade team last year. I seem to recall a big kid at Ryle that could handle the ball and nice jump shot that should be a frosh as well.

Bishop Brossart / Holy Cross predictions
I think both teams will / should rest skill players as game means nothing and no need to risk injury for playoffs. HC has played outstanding this year and should make a nice run in playoffs. They are heavy favorites for sure..

Walton Verona/Eminence Predictions
Walton should win this one. I watched the Eminence / Brossart game. Eminence does have a very nice running back - very big / very strong / very fast / very good hands. But looked like stamina was an issue for him as he had to come out on numerous occasions and seemed to get worn down as game progressed. Walton should win big as Brossart did over Eminence. But Eminence should have a couple of big plays from this kid and maybe keep it semi close for a half before getting worn down. 35-13 Walton.

Bishop Brossart 50 Dayton 6
Agreed - game was not out of hand - What was halftime score against a very good Caverna team?? and who came back and won?? This was essentially a playoff game and everthing needed to be done to ensure victory. Also, lets not forget last years game - what was 4th qtr score of last years Brossart / Dayton game and how many did Brossart score in 4th to win that one? With playoffs on line I have no problem with the call and also agree trying to get to running clock. Not to mention this team was coming off 3 losses in a row - 2 of which they had double digit leads and lost.. So in this crazy 1A district - outside of Beechwood - ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN Well done Brossart and good luck

Bellevue 34 Bishop Brossart 31
Well put.

Bellevue 34 Bishop Brossart 31
I believe that was misinterpreted. I wasn't being critical - it is good that they show the passion especially in front of the kids. On the sidelines I am more of a fist pumping and occasional high five and leave the chest bumping to the kids. there is nothing wrong with it especially in as big a game as that one was. I was more critical of the ref ignoring the clipboard tossing and apparently ignoring it when it appeared from stands was being tossed at him. Bellevue did a job.

Bellevue 34 Bishop Brossart 31
I did see the coach toss his clipboard and the same ref that was clueless on the fumble in end zone and on 2 pt conversion just looked down at it. I am thinking that clipboard probably traveled close to 20 yards in the air in general direction of the ref and ref does absolutely nothing. And the "chest bumping and "high fiving" after most plays was pretty funny. It was almost like they acted liked "wow, we guessed right!!"

Walton Verona/Bishop Brossart Predictions
This game is really to close to predict. Brossart has excellent kicking game which typically is difference maker in these types of games. BUT - if Brossart loses its composure as it did vs bellevue - look out. Walton will take advantage as did Bellevue
-
Bellevue 34 Bishop Brossart 31
A very entertaining game to watch - Mostly well played by both sides. Brossart seemed to loose composure in 3rd period with some big penalties. Brossart was running well in 2nd period especially on the field goal drive they stalled on 10 yard line with 2 pass attempts after running basically down Bellevue's throat down the field. Not sure what Brossarts staff saw on that drive to give up run. And still not sure about refs call on Bellevue's TD drive right before half, on the fumble and on the 2 point conversion. Appeared knee was down before ball crossed plain on conversion - if it crossed the plain. but I was not certain from my angle. Brossart basically shot themselves in foot in 2nd half - but Bellevue played a nice game..Congrats!

Beechwood 55 Walton Verona 20
I was told Beechwood could have named their score in this one!
