Gordie lived one street over from where I grew up. I was maybe 10 years old. (this was in mid 70's) Just on a whim me and a buddy went over and knocked on his door. He answered, introduced ourselves and he invited us inside and told us to make ourselves at home. Introduced me to his wife and his son's Marty and Mark. An incredibly nice sports icon. Should committee re-evaluate tournament format? This rain thing seems to be a regular occurence for this tournament. Possibly look how basketball starts during weekdays and in the event of snow has a little cushion built in... If softball had scheduled some games on a Friday then there is some margin for rain. As it stands now - any delays and tournament has to be re-formatted completely..

heard her Dad lives out on West Coast. Works at a winery in Nappa smashing grapes..
