camelman Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Congratulations to Coach Barrett Bradshaw and his Lady Bears, 48-39 winners over the Brossart Lady 'Stangs. Back to back 10th Region "A" titles for the Lady Bears. Happy for Coach Bradshaw. Smart man to move on and find a place that seems to appreciate him and what he has to offer. If only the CCHS powers could have opened their eyes.
PSJ Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Brossart staff might want to consider to start adhering to the K.I.S.S. principle. Stangs come out in zone and hold Cummins scoreless after 1. Then switch to combination of man / zone/ diamond and Cummins goes off for 25 in final 3 periods in an outstanding performance.. Game over.. Bailey is an average outside shooter - but her game is all about being on the move, slashing, and getting to the rim and does it better than anyone else. Good luck to Polar Bears!!!
polarbear98 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Congrats to the Lady Bears on winning the all a region back to back. I think Bracken Co. had a great game plan tonight and it worked out for them. Speeding up the tempo when they had to and still playing a slower half court style as well. The defense on Schultz was outstanding. She scored a few points but was kept out of the flow of the game for the most part coupled with her foul trouble. The lady bears was primarily running a box and chaser on Schultz with Ruf being the chaser. Ruf also had 8-9 points with a timely 3 ball. Shannon for Brossart was their primary source of offense I can't remember off the top of my head what she had but had to be close to a double double. Great game all around and now for Bracken its on to Frankfort and Harlan at 11:30 on 1/27/16. We will still have a couple games befor then though. MoCo comes to the igloo on th 19th and I believe Bracken travels to Augusta next Friday.

Lawnboy13 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I'm told Brossart's frontline went 10/39, bad shooting night or good defense....or combination of both? BTW, looking forward to seeing @polarbear98 in Frankfort. :thumb:
Shoo Dog Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 I'm told Brossart's frontline went 10/39, bad shooting night or good defense....or combination of both? Even Bird and magic had off nights, but I would say a combination of both!
