mcpapa Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Sounds like a good one. Two quality 10th region teams.:thumb:
RCC9 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Wow! Sounds like a good ole good one!! Nice win for Scott! Camels still need dealt with in the post season, but this one makes it interesting.
CKC Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The Ladies all played well! Campbell had a player out and two playing through being very sick. Nice game to both teams!
Dozer61 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 Nice return for both Kallmeyer and Dant to the line ups. Though still a little rusty and a neither 100% good to see them back.
bigblueinsanity Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 2-4 in the 10th is wide open. GRC, Scott and CC. Mason County at #1 but all 3 have a chance.
munoz Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The refs in this game were terrible. Neither coach could be happy with the way the game was called.
Dozer61 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 Actually heard from several parents that it was well called. Albeit not perfect. But then the girls aren't perfect either. That said I'll wait to review the film to pass judgement.
RCC9 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The refs in this game were terrible. Neither coach could be happy with the way the game was called. Nothing against you Munoz at all. Many are guilty....but I am SO sick of hearing about how the refs did this and that and cost the game. Kids need to learn to control what they can control and adapt to whatever any game brings. Officiating is going to always be different game to game. We need to quit giving kids an excuse! Adapt and overcome. Life isn't going to be handed to you on a silver platter!! Kids need to learn how to overcome obstacles and providing excuses will NEVER help them in life. It doesn't matter how the game was called or if the coaches were happy. It is what it is and if you play sports or coach, you better learn how to adapt!
RCC9 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 More important than a lot of this, why didn't Kramer play in this game? Great kid and a difference maker.
PSJ Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 The refs in this game were terrible. Neither coach could be happy with the way the game was called. Man it gets old reading about how every game is so poorly officiated.. Wish I had a dime for every post like the one above..
Dozer61 Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 More important than a lot of this, why didn't Kramer play in this game? Great kid and a difference maker. I saw her tweak an ankle against Dixie but haven't seen or heard anything since. So not sure how bad it is.
carpediem Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Soooo, anyway, this was a really good game! Were there some crazed parents yelling at the refs?!?:wave:Sure, but we're just trying to help! Overall, I thought it was fairly officiated and they had control of the game. Most of the game had CC on top(up 6 at half) and up two after 3rd(courtesy of a nice baseline jumper from Clos with a couple of seconds left in the third. The fourth quarter was nip and tuck. Came down to Clephane getting fouled with about 25 seconds left and making the first but missing the second but retaining the ball for Scott with an alternate possession tie-up. On the in-bounds, Clephane drives in for a sweet lefty lay-up. Without any timeouts left, CC looks a little confused and refuses to shoot or drive the lane until about 5 seconds left. Shot ends up on the short end of the iron and Scott rebounds for the win. This was a real showcase for former AAU teammates, CC's Schwarber (18pts and tenacious D), Clos (22pts and REAL high on the fun to watch factor), Scott's Stapleton having a great night from outside the arc(23pts) and Clephane with 24. All players in this game left it out on the floor. Family and Friends should be proud! In addition to the above, Dant comes "out of the boot" to give an angry effort on the boards, and Kallmeyer does the spark plug thing bringing huge energy. For CC, Jolly and Keeton were gettin' it done for the Camels. Both teams played a little sloppy but it is truly a fun brand of basketball to watch, with players flying up and down the court, many times with confounding turnovers both ways. Districts should be fun!
Red Heat Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Great win Lady Eagles ! Keep up the hard work and keep focused ! Still a lot of basketball to play , Best of Luck !:thumb:
munoz Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Agree with all you said RCC9. Hadn't been to a girls game in awhile and thought it was poorly officiated. That's all. They did not determine the outcome. Very competitive game. Great effort by both teams. I know both coaches and thought their teams played hard.
