Marion County 72 Anderson County 49
I believe Anderson only beat Brossart by 4 in a tightly contested game in Franklin County if I recall correctly

Bishop Brossart 2013
While this team still has some mountains to climb - There are some strengths to this years squad that as long as they can somehow be lucky enough to avoid some injuries they could have some success. They have a nice tandem at RB with Tieman and Schoulthies. They very have good size up front between Macdonald / Britt / Steffen / South. They have a big, sure handed receiver in Shannon. Combined with some senior leadership and a new enthusiastic coach, a playoff appearance is not out of the question. On defensive side - the big four will be relied on in trenches. Baumann quietly put together a nice year last year and a healthy Shannon at DE, this group should be able to put some pressure on the QB and clog some holes. The BIG questions are team speed / as with any small school - depth / how quickly adjust to new system / speed in secondary / QB - Pelgen needs to return and stay focused. He has all the tools to have a successful year.

Different kind of way to play and potentially watch basketball - to be intimate with your opponent.

Good stuff guys - I seem to recall also a highlands fan / parent getting tossed earlier this year at Bracken complaining about officiating? Or was that something else?

Brossart 41 Frankfort 40
The ref underneath immediately called the foul and said basket good - trailing ref also did same. Clock said 00:00. Refs then met at table. What they were discussing (which we found out after game) was trying to determine if any time should be reamining on clock to convert the FT. After about a minute - one ref waived his arms like he was waiving the basket off. Frankfort began to go crazy thinking they had won. But what he was actually doing was waiving no more time remaining and game over. Then Brossart started the celebration. WILD ENDING

Brossart 41 Frankfort 40
After the Frankfort three to put them up one - BB inbounded the ball with 9 sec left. But there was a approx. a 3 second hesitation as I believe she was waiting for the timeout to be called. But BB was out of timeouts. The pass came into Futscher in the back court who in turn I believe hit Hartig. Hartig then fed Greis at midcourt in front of scorer table. Stadtmiller was directly across from Gries on opposite side. As soon as Gries got the pass Stadtmiller was in full motion. ( i thought for sure Greis was going to give a midcourt heave for shot) but she saw Abby breaking free and hit her in perfect stride around 3 point line at top of key. Nobody from Frankfort was back but there were two defenders breathing down on her hard. Two Dribbles and she laid it in LEFT HANDED and was hammered. She did beat the horn. What was so amazing about that play was that Stadtmiller was racing against the clock, had two defenders bearing down on her hard, She knew the contact was coming, and she was able to convert the left handed lay up ( she is right handed). Amazing finish

agreed - Brossart will be just fine - They are a solid team battling thru what every other team goes thru this time of year - a few bumps and bruises and some illness and resting some players. I am guessing Murray was in the house vs HC. The three "big" freshman were on the floor together in first half of HC game. I believe they were down 4 when they entered into game and then up 2 when they departed. Should be fairly solid next few years

A lot closer than I thought would be. Figured NC by at least 15 with their length and playing at home - Looks like Mcdonald had a nice game. How bout Camels breakdown?

Any updates from the NCC/Holy Cross matchup last night?
But sounds like HC wouldn't allow those mismatches to develop if the " hack a bred" was in play

Any updates from the NCC/Holy Cross matchup last night?
What i meant to state was that you get 49 ft's that typically opposing team has their players in foul trouble and have to go deeper in bench which should create more / better / mismatches scoring opportunities for NC

true..

Any updates from the NCC/Holy Cross matchup last night?
You are correct - you shoot 49 FT's in one game - you should win by at least 30. Gotta be a concern in the NC war room.

Interesting... and very hard to believe.. Are you just getting home from the game? - that must have been a 4 hour game

Any updates from the NCC/Holy Cross matchup last night?
That is hard to believe - I never have heard of such a discrepancy either. Did Holy Cross have 5 girls on the floor by end of game or did parents have to play just to get players on the court? How many fouled out for HC? Was that part of HC gameplan to make NC beat them at the line - using the "Shaq theory" ??

Holy Cross 55 Bishop Brossart 41
For a moment there I thought I was reading a Highlands basketball thread.. I watched a little bit of this clip and looked to me like very first call of game set the tone. The and one by the HC player, when i slowed it down and paused it - it appears the Brossart player was in position for the rebound and the HC player came in over the top. In any event - its always tough for the 9th to go into the 10th and vice versa. A large gap in how the games are officiated. Not saying one is right over the other or one should be officiated one way over the other - but you can certainly tell the differences in the way these regions are officiated.

But since came right back to Nate and he caught it. It's not a huge deal and probably no T warranted. Like you said - if he had just turned and walked away without cathching it or had bounced awkwardly into different direction then yes - T him up

From where I was sitting - that was not a toss. And watching that backboard shake after it hit it I was also somewhat surprised there was no whistle. It looked like the refs were walking over towards scorer table and had their backs turned as I immediately started looking for the whistle to blow
