Can a Mod change the final score to 68-64, the shot at the buzzer by Campbell Co. was ruled a 2 instead of a 3 and I had sent the text to Walter before I could change it.

A lot closer than I thought would be. Figured NC by at least 15 with their length and playing at home - Looks like Mcdonald

In an afternoon affair up on the "hill" the Breds end a two game home losing streak, and without Sr. Nick Seibert, down the Campbell Co. Camels 68-64. Brennen Devoto earns the starting spot in the place of Seibert, who is out 4 weeks with a bad ankle sprain, and does an excellent job. Drew McDonlad put on a "clinic" as he goes for 29. Nobody the Camels throw at him could come close to stopping him. All of his points (minus FT's) came from "point blank" range. Colin Dupont played a great game for the Breds as he finally shot the ball when he had open looks and on drives to the basket. This is what was missing from him in the CovCath game, the kid can shoot.

 

I have to give the Camels credit they were on "fire" from the land of 3, they moved the ball around nice to find the open man, and a few of the contested variety. Big kudos to McGovney, Holbrook, & Jackson, these three played a hell of a game this afternoon. The temp in the building almost put this one on hold, as the floor was constantly being wiped up. Both teams played extremely hard and it was a very entertaining game.

 

Campbell County's hot shooting from beyond the arc and the Breds "woeful" free throw shooting (18/32) kept this one close. Also the Breds need to find Jake Schulte on passes to the paint also. Drew was unstoppable this afternoon, but Jake needs more touches.

Sorry I didn't report the JV final, but had to go to church at 5:30. NewCath JV 39-34. The score was NewCath 24-14 at the half and Ben Weyer had 17, no one could stop him. He didn't play the 2nd half.

Not very effectively. The Camels double, triple and at times whole team teamed McDonnald without much success. Mcgovney played very inspired 12pts. Holbrok was also unguardable. 27pts foe CCHS
