http://www.khsaa.org/directory/index.php?school_id=175 They stopped letting people without tickets in the stadium at 6:30 and the rest stood around the field...I would say about 5000 in stands according to capacity from KHSAA and at least another 2-3K in the tallgating section and along the fences. Pretty impressive turnout by both teams!

I would think it was more along the lines of 7500...still most everyone was there. It was one of the better games in recent history. I agree it was a hard fought clean game...although once again the officiating was suspect at best for both teams! Looks like we are going to have a HUGE game with the Rockets in a few weeks!!!

Many teams could score 80 points on several occasions against Fulton City, Fulton County, and Ballard Memorial over the last decade... I too think that if Fulton can't recover an onside kick in the first half, and Murray doesn't play starters much into the second half, they can't do much else to stop from scoring. Asking a team to NOT score I have always had a problem with...

Mayfield's win was NEVER in doubt after the opening play where Xavier Shelton took a screen pass to the house. Weather delay took a little of their momentum, but once Mayfield got to a 21-0 lead... Mayfielld went into cruise control and the players relaxed...Mayfield is clearly 4-5 TD's better than Paducah Tilghman at this point...Tilghman had some good size and speed, but really doesn't have much success with what they have. I didn't think they utlized Forrest very well, but that could have been with the "D" Tyrese Murrell and Shelton had on him most of the night! MOST BORING GAME I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME BY THE WAY!!!

I would say that of the 10 penalties...most of them holding, there were two that were questionable. The others were fairly basic...you can't tackle the tackler! Mayfield's offense is VERY good! Trousdale got some good money to come to this bowl game and it is their coaches first loss ever! The referrees weren't the greatest, but they didn't hand Mayfield the game. Trousdales pass defense is suspect at best...I was really surprised at how Mayfield was able to wear them down! Hope #5 is okay...not sure if it was cramps or what but he looks like a stud when healthy!

This years Cards might have more skilled skill people than ANY team ever in history of Mayfield Football! If they keep their heads on and stay out of trouble they could be Scary good!:eek:

Latest update is that the winds are making it too hard for boats to get out in the water much today! Crews from Texas and Louisana are arriving tomorrow with better equipment and boats! So do I, and locals are NOT in HD with Dish yet I believe...Should just be a matter of time though. On the 1080p matter, the only way u get 1080p definition is with a Blu-Ray movie. Most channels are broadcast in 480 setting, HD channels are 720 currently. The only stations I know playing with 1080p are ESPN. I did get the 1080p, but I have a PS3 and the price difference wasn't that much. I would say for them 720 is fine.

West KY (Marion I presume) TV reception is NOT great on a Plasma or LCD for the most part. I would highly advise them if they don't have them already to see what HD channels are available and with what companies. I would definitely go with Plasma if they want a 50 inch, best bang for your buck TV--I would look into the Panasonic and Samsung brands. Do NOT buy overpriced cables from the box stores, get them off the internet! Look at http://www.avsforum.com for a good place for non-bias reviews!
