Mayfield 28 Graves County 13

Hard fought game with some of the hardest hits I have ever seen by both teams. Graves doubled Xavier all night and I don't think he caught a pass. Mayfield ran the wildcat formation with X and he ran one for a 84 yard TD. Have to give Graves credit, they played hard and never quit.

How did Jonathan Jackson do last night? And did Eli Wilson play much for Graves last night?

Jonathan had a good game...played mostly on defense as Murrell was back healthy for Mayfield on the offensive side of the ball. I don't know about the Wilson kid for Graves County. A hard fought game by both teams and a great high school crowd of over 10,000 plus people as the fire marshall had to close the gate due to the overflow of the crowd.

A great city-county showdown game...the way a high school game should be played...hard hitting between the lines and whistles with no cheap shots by either squad...two classy programs and two classy coaching staffs.

I have a hard time believing there were 10,000 people there ... I don't know where you could put them all in Mayfield's stadium.

Was there really 10k there?!?

I would think it was more along the lines of 7500...still most everyone was there. It was one of the better games in recent history. I agree it was a hard fought clean game...although once again the officiating was suspect at best for both teams!

Looks like we are going to have a HUGE game with the Rockets in a few weeks!!!

I thought it was at Graves.

Well, if it was at Mayfield, I can't see how in the wide, wide world of sports they crammed 10 thousand in there.

Why would there be so many people there?

City-county rivalry based in a football town ... very intense.
